Several base game companies were somewhat based in real life companies. Maybe they want to get rid of that to avoid future problems, like they changed machinery models to avoid to lure Cat lawyers.

If that would be the reason, then probably Ika Bohag has also its days counted as we know it.

Ika Bohag logo it's very different compared to the Ikea logo, so I believe there should be no problems. It's a company that always appears in new map expansions and if there were to be any changes, it would have already happened.

Almost the same is not a duplicate

Fun fact: Ikast, Denmark had an IKA supermarket in the nineties

if someone wants to earn his extra money he doesnt care if it doesnt look "identical" it is close enough for someone to be triggered if he is in a bad mood

the new lawyer that starts working for the company doesnt care what you think, if he wants bonuses he will just do it and argue for his cause and if he thinks the logo is to similar to mistake he will use his silver tongue to make it profitable for him

wouldnt be the first time a company sued someone because of a logo or something that looked vaguely the same, if they win at the end is a different question

A lawsuit is only the first step you also have to win
A company like SCS will probably change the logo and name to skip the fight but it doesn't make it right

There are other things to take into account as well, most real life lawsuits about use of logo's are generally about selling a (similar) product as well, SCS doesn't make and sell furniture, it's also not a parcel delivery company, or a fuel company.
Though the logo's may look similar enough to recognize a company in it, they are not in competition with the "original" neither can they be confused with another company or product by the public, there is no possible loss for companies like Ikea, DHL, and in ATS BP (those are also the only 3 companies I can think of that use a recognizable logo or colour scheme) edit: and Loves in ATS.
