I don't have auto wipers, but auto headlights in my car. Even when you turn them off, next time you turn the ignition they default to auto on again. Handy-dandy :D
isnt it a physical switch ? the normal one for light but it has an auto position also instead of the normal off, park and light ?
It is. A circle you can twist, next to the steering wheel, if you want to manually turn headlights or parking lights on or off. But it can be twisted freely even further than these set positions for how many revolutions you want.
Thats why it can default to auto on ignition. It can't turn itself, it just sets a new zero point every time. Every new car has to have auto headlights nowadays, for safety.
Other than my gear selector, wich is also a circle you twist to go to PRND, which can turn itself. When i shut the engine off, it goes to P automatically to lock the gearbox.

I got caught in the rain twice, but the sensor never worked. All the conditions for his work are met. Maybe because the truck is modded?

You have to put the wipers in the first position. And enable the feature in the settings, of course.
