I'll guess we will need to wait a few more hours for a blog post, I really hope for ETS 2.

Well, HoR opens the way to Central Asia, to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan. where 80 million people live.oldmanclippy wrote: ↑16 May 2022 16:24Although I think Belarus would greatly improve the map shape that HoR would have introduced, don't expect them to expand their indefinitely postponed DLC for zero additional revenue, lots of additional costs, and even more controversy. It would be idiotic to keep adding more to a map that might never see the light of day. I'm sure they polished up HoR and finished what was planned so that in the future they will be able to release it if and when the time is right.Virtual Trucker 51 wrote: ↑16 May 2022 15:25 Think that there is a possibility that Belarus will add to the HoR scs and rename this DLC, Pavel confirmed that the DLC is renamed in an interview about the postponement of the HoR
There will also be an option to add part of China and the Himalayas. for me it would be more interesting to have such a connection. than with Africa or the Middle East.
And this will give life to ETS2 for another next 10-20 years.

Pavel Sebor already said HoR is as East as they are willing to go. Sure, thing can change, but I wouldn’t hold my breath…

As far as I remember, that 85 mph speed limit it's only for a 50 miles (of smth) section of SH-130 between Austin and San Antonio, the rest of the state is 80 mph.

Of course those countries would be very interesting to have in-game, I just mean that it makes no sense to add more to HoR *before* it releases.wholovetrucks wrote: ↑17 May 2022 13:06 Well, HoR opens the way to Central Asia, to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan. where 80 million people live.

@LegoTechnicFanBoi Interestingly enough, the states that have the highest motor vehicle death rates are often not the ones with the highest maximum speed limits. But the ones with the lowest death rates are often the ones with low maximum speed limits. And of the 8 states that have a max speed limit greater than or equal to 80mph, only 3 of them are worse than the median. But these states are pretty wide open with fewer people driving, but the poor weather in winter months would counteract it I would think. But we do know that the faster you are going when you crash, the more likely you are to die. So on a macro level a higher speed limit might not make much of a difference, but on an incident level it most certainly does.
Deaths per 100,000,000 miles driven
1. South Carolina 70mph
2. Mississippi 70mph
3. Arkansas 75mph
4. Montana 80mph
5. New Mexico 75mph
6. Kentucky 70mph
7. Louisiana 75mph
8. West Virginia 70mph
9. Tennessee 70mph
10. Oklahoma 80mph
...
15. Texas 85mph
...
17. South Dakota 80mph
...
21. Delaware 65mph
22. Wyoming 80mph
...
26. Nevada 80mph
...
31. Idaho 80mph
...
34. Alaska 65mph
35. Washington DC 55mph
...
41. Vermont 65mph
42. Connecticut 65mph
...
44. Rhode Island 65mph
45. Hawaii 60mph
46. New York 65mph
47. Utah 80mph
...
49. New Jersey 65mph
50. Minnesota 70 mph (yay!)
51. Massachusetts 65mph
So if you want to drive fast, stick to Utah and stay away from Texas. Delaware is the worst of both worlds: slow and deadly.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
SH-130 is the fastest highway in the US, and drivers must pay a toll in order to use it. It was designed as a parallel to I-35 to help alleviate traffic congestion on the Interstate. The road is pretty famous for its speed limit alone. Even though it is redundant to I-35, I really hope to see it in ATS due to how iconic it is.
The road also faces harsh criticism. Even though it has the fastest speed limit, it has been found that it doesn't save drivers much time, while also being one of the most dangerous highways in the country. Some information about that in these videos for those who are interested:
