If you own the truck you set it up once, then each time you go back to it is all ready set to your liking. You should only have to set it up the initial time when you purchase it.

I already explained why having a universal preset for every in-game truck is not possible. In short - because every truck is different and every truck has different "range" values for every adjustable part in interior view.
I guess it would be somewhat viable for a specific truck model. So, for example, once you set up a Renault T, then all Renault T's you buy from now on use the same setup. That would be doable imo. However, this causes an issue in ATS for some players, who to have different mirror positions set depending on the cab's size.
The smallest details always make the biggest difference.

Calling me lazy sets off a bit
A nice technical explanation is so much better, thanks

I don't have endless hours to play games
A short 200 miles delivery is about it
To use 10-15 minutes on trivial tasks is not to my liking

I think it is generally a good idea.

It could be in the menu, there already is an option to copy the config of a truck (parts and paintjob) which only applies on the same type of truck.
There could be a similar option for settings, as long as they are compatible it would appear on the list.

IMO, it doesn't even to be that "extreme". As in, it wouldn't need to automatically be applied to every truck you buy (same model I mean), but having the possibility to create a preset and then adding an option that sounds like "use saved preset" in the menu from which you adjust seat and mirrors seems like a good compromise. A bit like when customizing your paintjob, you can save colors or color schemes, for example for the divided paint scheme where you can select colors and "color order", and then if you buy a new truck you just select the preset and quickly "suit up" your new ride.

Honestly, I'm neutral about such an addition, but I'm not against it nor I'm against those who ask for it. QOL options IMO should be welcomed, you don't need to use it if you don't want to.

Regardless, I really think there's absolutely no need to call out people for being lazy, especially when it sounds like an uncalled for frontal attack...

One can always resort to the F2 mirrors if being lazy - LOL
And with a ultrawide monitor it doesn't use much space

And auto preset for every vehicle is somehow real?
People here have very uneven opinions about where to put the line between gameplay and realism.

It is just a matter of time ...
It is very much standard in premium cars and has been for quite some time
