I was looking at the "Oklahoma Water Bodies" blogpost.. One thing that came to mind.

Wouldn't it be nice if important rivers, lakes and mountains' names were shown in the map? Maybe even edit the background a bit to show, a faded drawing of a lake or something to signify it?

   Nooooo

I just want to be able to learn more about America's (and not only) geography.. This game is a fun way to do so and it already does a bit with landmarks etc..

This is a great idea! I already wrote about it here. The empty map we have looks awful and uninformative. We need geographical objects!

They should sightseeing tags like MSFS does... but only in places trucks can't get to on the map.

We kind of do have that. Photo trophies? Viewpoints? They're not always within reach.

Would sure look nice, but wouldn’t it keep mappers from distorting the map for intended spacing? E.g. there might be a mismatch between when you cross that river in game vs. in the map, or what if a city is built larger than the map scale suggests.
