SCS General Discussion Thread
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I don't disagree with you guys or making fun of anyone but ..not again.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Ok am I the only one who thinks that ATS is kinda... More tiring that ETS2? I did a single job yesterday and I was relieved when I finished it. Not satisfied, relieved that it's over.
What's the difference?
What's the difference?
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I'm the opposite! I played six hours yesterday ATS, three hours today. I wish I had more time... Finished the Texas conquests.

You might be a bit tired of it?
To each their own and Americans can feel differently.
I am a European. I used to find ATS really good, liked it more than ETS2 even as maps were newer and I started playing when I think Utah or Colorado were released which are extremely nice with rock formations and lots of eye candy.
For me it has become repetitive. It is not a dig, that's how it is in real life. Same style cities/towns, same kind of sceneries as you move further East, lots of flatland etc.
I think it will change as soon as we get to some central states with lots of big rivers, lakes and forests.
Above is a reason why I have said I would like the game to maybe start expanding towards other countries, Mexico etc. One team working on that.
Europe is the best, few hours and we find ourselves in a completely different scenery and architecture with denser cities etc.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I'm mostly ETS player. I had a dozen of long-ish sessions in ETS2 in the last few weeks and it was all fine, over 500 hours clocked in in total.
In ATS I have a hundred, and that one single 2hr long session was eh.
I don't know what this is. The emptiness of the land (most of the available terrain I have is just desert, except maybe Oregon & Washington), the stupid sudden changes in speed limits (highway at 70mph, second later you're in an empty town with 25mph limit, and accelerating back to 70 after another second), the AI trucks that are just SOOOO SLOW on turns and uphill.
And I drive an automatic there, and believe me, this is 10 times more exhausting than using the manual in ETS2 like I do.

I play both games. I don't really get tired because I got music to play while driving. Would be too boring to drive in general if their is no music playing.

Can someone with more knowledge about this explain why HoR would go into the experimental branch? Obviously they have been and will continue to maintain the DLC so that it doesn't get borked by updates and such, but isn't the Experimental Branch only for external testers? Has it been added to the experimental branch for testing 1.47, 1.46 etc? I had assumed they were just only maintaining it internally.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
I think it had been added again the past? Some months ago we had figured it was worked again through a depot.
