What gets you guys hyped up about a straight truck is beyond me.
Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
It's more of an European thing... For me, rigids/straights in North America are also nothing to get excited about.

In North America, rigids/straights are a demotion on the social ladder of truckers.

George, this may be the case, but by now you know Europe has different regulations and tighter space.

Before rigids (and a few other things) can come, first the way cargo is handled has to be redesigned. For example, it makes no sense to introduce node based cargo or multi drop after rigids. This is a very common oversight.

I have to disagree that no point in a node system. SCS's cargo is static. With a node system, it's dynamic which is wayyyyy more powerful. Thousands of cargo combinations can be made with a node cargo system. SCS can't do that with static cargo.
One of the biggest pros that SCS can offer is options. Give the player the power.

My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Rigids are generally used for different trucking jobs, but the driving can be just as difficult as driving what we have in the game now.
That said, in game rigids will be easy because everything is made to fit larger truck and trailer combos, but irl a rigid in a city can be much harder than anything the game throws at us.
I've seen city trailers make the tightest corner in one go, but with my rigid I had to back up once or twice for the same corner, and no that doesn't say anything about my truck driving skills, it says something about people that don't care and park anywhere.

Re: SCS General Discussion Thread
Oh god if the big surprise ends up being Driving School...talk about disappointment. I don't know if many long term players are excited for driving school. That's something to put in the game to help ease the new player experience, not provide anything of real worth for existing players.
Well, except for maybe Nemiro, I'm sure he would get good use out of it

Maybe the big surprise will be dirt on trucks and functional truck washes? Don't know if ETS2 has gotten any truck washes yet.
