car manufacturer dont set mirrors for you to your preference, so dont do truck manufacturers, if you buy a new vehicle the mirrors are set as they are from assembly and testing

it is totally irrelevant if a car can store presets, a new vehicle doesnt have them

What would really be lifelike is if the seats and mirrors are set in another position after every visit in a garage... And radio preset too.

It is just a setting, I don't get why it is so "unrealistic" and "game experience ruining" to have the seat, mirrors etc automatically set.
Real life it is a lot easier to set them than in-game where we have to remember how everything was adjusted.

I think it is a useful idea, I don't think I would really use it but I don't see a reason why anyone would advocate against it.
A quality of life, user-friendly change.

It is a game it doesn't have to replicate everything we do in real life.

it isnt people advocating against it, they can implement it if they want, it is people trying to find "real life" usage of this where it doesnt exist as an example

truck configuration is realistic, if i configure one and want to buy the exact same one a year later i phone the rep and tell him i want this order again, this doesnt work with seat and mirror position and it doesnt matter if the vehicle has 1 or 100 slots to save them

thats not inovation, that is nonsense, which is basically everything about Tesla except the drivetrain, who in his right mind would put the wiper control on a touch screen you have to look at to activate it instead of a lever behind the wheel you can just feel and activate ?

No, you don't get it; it's like that because the driver doesn't have to do anything except when the car goes straight into a wall, a pedestrian, or public transport, or when it suddenly accelerates, especially when you need to park, killing 2 people.

And that is exactly the problem with all this innovation crap. The driver not doing anything and relying on a stupid Ai to drive his vehicle. Might as well have no seats whatsoever and instead of being inside the car, you just sit on your couch and ask the car to go grocery shopping for ya.

And if this is what the future of vehicles is like, then I'd rather use a bicycle instead.

There's a simple solution, one that has been with us for years and years: public transport. We should get away from those hundreds of death traps and/or killing machines.

thats easy in Europe, we dont build every city around the car, they are build, at least the bigger majority, with people in mind, some cities even with bicycles *cough*The Netherlands*cough*

but we cant get away from the car, just this whole self driving crap can go to hell, it is OK if it can park itself, good for people with disabilities where they cant move their legs and are in a wheelchair, but thats it
