Renault T was teased in early 2016 and only came in late 2019... New TGX might follow the same path. :D

The new Scania was announced IRL August 2016 and came to game October 2017 after being teased in January 2017, I mean we should always look at the positive side, I'm sure the TGX is coming this year!

Speaking of Scania, before Covid Pavel made a trip to Scania to talk about future cooperation, hopefully, that cooperation is still valid.

November 2016

https://twitter.com/SCSsoftware/status/ ... 2218476544

this was the teaser, the blog was already the official announcement that we will get the trucks

edit:

i didnt know that SCS also showed the 3D scanned model but it shows that the 3D scanning was never used for the game, it was only for reference

we can clearly see how horrendous the topology is of the scan

Ohh, what patch did that come with?!
Was it 1.45? Atleast I did not notice it in earlier patches.
time to unpack base.scs and pick it out from there!
And maybe grid it, as I have done with ATS background map.

/edit:
Oh, it was with the 1.45Beta.
Interesting, Iceland is on the map now.
Scandinavia is all the way to Nordkap.

Yeah HoR is absolutely mammoth in scope. This was a post I made around Iberia's launch showing the 4 options for how big it could be. viewtopic.php?p=1544506#p1544506 What HoR ended up being was about the same size as the largest option I put forward, which I described at the time as "the maximum possible extent" that SCS would do and "probably too big" for us to expect it from SCS, which I think was an understatement. Such a shame, obviously dwarfed by the real life tragedy hundreds of times over in importance but still a shame.

I'm just making that guy pull his hairs out of anxiety ... I mean, we gotta get some fun out of this, right!?

And I don't think that trip to Scania will amount to anything, it's been three years and SCS never mentioned or posted anything from Scania since.

Yeah, given that Scania updated their models twice after that.
