[REL] Daniels ATS Random Events
Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

One thing I'd like to see someday is unique highway maintenance vehicle liveries for each state (ODOT for OR, NDOT for NV, CalTrans for CA, etc.), like they do with police cars and firetrucks/ambulances. That'd be neat.

Oh I see I didn't know that, having them as flare hookups will look better as well and be more realistic. @danbywinby you're welcome, you're doing some great work on these custom models. Doing it with flare hookups as Dan has is far simpler to set up and adjust as needed. Also, the light boards on the ETS2 escort vans are fairly flat compared to the light boards from ATS.

And another idea: The GTA traffic mod includes a utility pickup: https://atsmods.lt/gta-v-traffic-pack-v2-5/
The truck and buses from GTA V for ETS2 also includes the bigger utility truck https://ets2mods.lt/euro-truck-simulato ... ts-1-37-x/
Both would maybe fit into your scenes?!

That would depend on exactly what you mean by "upgrade" from my current understanding of how those vans work in real life they are already pretty realistic and don't use the same variety of patterns or the "arrow board" style for light boards as used in America.
However if you or anybody else does have knowledge and examples of how the ETS2 vans could be upgraded do please post it in the thread for the ETS2 version (viewtopic.php?t=265242) and I will gladly take it into consideration.

I haven't thought about that exact scenario but I have thought about something very similar which is having a police officer directing traffic. This would work in exactly the same way as your idea of having a construction worker directing traffic with a stop/go board unfortunately this is something that is currently not possible and is not something I could create as it would require creating the models and animations in blender. So this is something I'm hoping that SCS will implement at some point.
With regards to those GTA vehicles thank you for sharing the links to them with me however i do not want to be going down the route of including content from other mods in my mod.

These Flagmen or Flaggers are indeed really common in the USA and would be nice to have in ATS

Finally i have made a start on the narrow roadworks random events for the next version of my ATS random events mod.
As you can see from the screenshots below just as i did with my ETS2 version they will be completely dynamic with a number of possible different start and end scenes as well as versions with and without people present and there will also be 3 different types of barriers used the first being the vertical roadworks barriers which i have now re-skinned to orange, the traffic cones and my taller and my second version of the traffic cone which is bigger and taller.
