Load Order - ETS2 v1.49 Map Combos (Updated 06 Mar 2024 - PM WB Merge - Some fixes)

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: Load Order - ETS2 v1.45 Map Combos (Updated 5 Oct 2022 - Hybrid rc - Sud de France)
I've not heard a single report anywhere about SFIG working "as delivered" in any reasonably large load order.
Of course, someone might have managed it, might have posted, but I've not seen it in any major order

There is a possibility to add SFIG 0.5 to a (big) map combo.thedrippingone wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022 13:13 I've not heard a single report anywhere about SFIG working "as delivered" in any reasonably large load order.

According to what @Luigi28 wrote:
removing these files from map/europe:
Code: Select all
sec-0037-0030.aux
sec-0037-0030.base
sec-0037-0030.data
sec-0037-0030.desc
sec-0037-0030.layer
sec-0037-0031.aux
sec-0037-0031.base
sec-0037-0031.data
sec-0037-0031.desc
sec-0037-0031.layer
The only disadvantage of this solution is losing Nanortalik from the map - and thus the only connection with Canada, but rest of cities seem to work properly.
EDIT: removing above sectors is needed if you use Poland Rebuilding in your map combo.

The city_name_localized needs adjusted as well as a lot of people have localization on when playing. Also might be worth removing the underscore from Ny Alesund and Bear Island.

@turmoil64 take a look at Jan Mayen Island 2.0.scs\def\city\smeerenburg.sii for instance. When you open smeerenburg.sii you'll see:
while it should read:
It's a small difference. If you go to the world map, you'll notice that some city names are starting with a capital letter and other city names with a small letter.
Code: Select all
city_name: "Smeerenburg"
city_name_localized: "@@smeerenburg@@"
Code: Select all
city_name: "Smeerenburg"
city_name_localized: "@@Smeerenburg@@"

@turmoil64 Oh, don't worry; those capital letters are a very minor issue. I think it's way more important to have a stable map combo without crashes. Not having city names with capital letters is just a tiny cosmetic thing.
