Hello Vinnie. I tried the way you suggested and it didn't work either. So when opening the map I noticed a connection via ferry in which the scs background could not reach the location so I downloaded a background mod all world map and then the cities of Sibirmap appeared. Let it serve as a warning to newbies who are going to use sibirmap, the cities with the backgorund scs will not appear.

Hello, where can I find AllWorld Background? I think my one is very old...

I can totally agree with the post above.
this guy, 10avoid, like SCS, builds his map completely from google views and images.
it's sad, for example, that RusMap is of very poor quality and is not built that way. there is 90% fantasy and invention of the author. I hope Heart of Russia DLC doesn't get a long delay. with SibirMap it will be a huge map. from Lisbon to Novosibirsk minimum.

top mod maps for me.
1) ProMods.
2) SibirMap.
3) Great Steppes (after update from ProMods especially).
4) South Region.

for the whole bunch.....I miss one DLС in the middle from SCS.
In ETS2 we have a lot of southern countries. Spain. Italy. West Balkans. Bulgaria. Türkiye.
For diversity, I would like more northern territories and countries.

Pro Mods cannot be compared with add-on maps, since Pro Mods is not such, it is essentially a rebuild of Europe. Kazakhstan from pro mods, it doesn’t really differ from the original old one, they didn’t really do anything on the map, only some models were changed and added , leaving a lot of mistakes and unfinished projects from the original, so here their cards are like the original, below the average level
