Lights on but not shining in front [NOT A BUG]

#1 Post by DragonzDoom » 04 Feb 2021 20:44

I started the game and the lights worked without a problem... Some twenty minutes later after delivery. The lights would be on, but were not shining on the road. Even high beam did not light up way in front.

Only lights are on

headlights disperse in daylight.
try to turn on a light bulb at home during the day, you will not understand whether it is on or not until you look at it.
you just got used to the old headlights implementation, which was incorrect.

What I have observed is that this "dispersed" effect happens way too much of the time ... before dawn or in twilight headlights are doing nothing at all, and the headlights of oncoming vehicles become dim gray circles.

I agree with you completely. with the smallest light particulate just after full darkness, even Led headlights almost lose all of their power. Simply, they are way too powerless during sunset and sunrise. Hope will be fixed

The problem is not in daylight its more in situation like rain, dark weather during the day and tunneles.

Hello DragonzDoom,
Thank you for your report. The issue concerning not visible headlights is still being worked on, but as stated above, there is simply too much natural light during daytime and the headlight won't be able to light the road up.

I agree, the new lighting is much more realistic - except for AI headlights which should look the same as player's own truck lights and still don't...

Only thing I noted, as someone said, in tunnels or very bad rain, you would see a little light on the road. Then again, if the tunnel has very bright internal lighting, not much.

When the road is dry is still acceptable But when the road is wet in the rain The lights did not reflect down the road. Both the headlights and the taillights This one is both ATS and ETS2 version 1.40 Open Beta.
