Noweday, the vast majority of ambulances (Aside from a few private companies and the red cross) in Luxembourg are run by the "Corps grand-ducal d'incendie et de secours", or CGDIS, formed in 2018 by merging most fire brigades in the country, and the civil protection, which previously ran most ambulances in the country.
