I did this already before, like you explain in the video. And yes it works in that profile with 51 mods enabled it works but I only hear it when I' am driving like you tell me now. And there I was wrong. Before you hear the reefer start up and make noise the moment you coupling. So far so good.
But in my master profile ( ok with 188 mods enabled ) I hear nothing. So my question now is, if I send you this game.log.txt you then can see what mod maybe causes the problem ?
Of the 188 mods, most are map mods but also trailer and other mods. So I wait your answer to send or not send that game.log.txt.Thank you a lot so far.

Ok I had the time now, so this is the profile with 188 mods that not work. Mayby you see some mod(s) who can cause the problem.

Re: HOW TO: Enable reefer sounds for your trailer mod with Sound Fixes Pack
@snap1704 - Okay cool, thanks for sending the game log for the master profile.
Initially in the first paste I can see this line:
00:00:17.942 : uset s_noise_windows "0"
This needs to be set to have the "1" value either by editing the config.cfg for your profile, or by ticking the boxes for "Opened windows noise" and "Noise of the flowing air" in the Audio Settings. Give that a try and it should work in your master profile with 188 mods enabled.
Edit: I can see it was set to 1 later in the log, so maybe all you need to do is test that it works? Because it was set to 0 earlier, maybe that was why it wasn't working in that profile earlier. That's all I can think of from this game log as there doesn't appear to be any mod conflicts.
Try loading the master profile first in your next game session.

Re: HOW TO: Enable reefer sounds for your trailer mod with Sound Fixes Pack
Ok, the opened windows noise is enabled and the noise of the flowing air also. But in my config.cfg I not find the uset s_noise_windows "0"
Here is my config.cfg : https://pastebin.com/DJ4Y7pRa
Note that, because I play in a triple screen setup (7680 x 1440 ) I had to make some modifications, otherwise my fps was to low.

You updated it via the UI, you don't also need to edit the config file.

The workaround part for ownable trailers, do we need to do that upon every boot up of the game or does it persist when we quit the game? Thanks!

@m3lover1 - If "~ Function - Force enable reefer sound" is selected before quitting the game, then you shouldn't need to follow the steps again upon the next boot up of the game.
I just have the steps listed like that in case people want to change the voice navigation option

Re: HOW TO: Enable reefer sounds for your trailer mod with Sound Fixes Pack
Thanks for the mod!
For the manual start of the reefer sound via the workaround:
As I am too lazy to scroll all the way down to the "~ Function..." line - and then back up to "Helga", talking to me in german,
I modded /sound/navigation/english_reefer-sfp.sii to look like this:
(I wouldn´t want it localized, as I am sometimes running ETS2ATS in english and still prefer to listen to Helga... - and it would probably be even more of a support nightmare...)
(Even though this is from the sound fixes pack, I thought it would be better suited here...)

voice_navigation_config : .english.reefer_sfp.pack

# pack_name: "~ Function - Force enable reefer sound"
pack_name: "Deutsch - Force enable reefer sound" # <-- now it is next to "Deutsch - Helga".
}
