You're just not making much sense anymore, when did Mercedes join the convo?

idk which truck is best at each part of the spectrum when it comes to hauling, but there are other aspects, mainly driver comfort.

I am quite biased, I'm Dutch to start with, but I've also driven Daf, Scania, Volvo and Mercedes trucks, and of all those trucks, the Daf trucks were the nicest to do the job in.
Have to add that a Daf 2100 was the first truck i drove professionally with the best job i ever had, so those memories, of which some have faded, are the best memories :-)
Loved that truck and though compared to modern day standards it was crap, if i ever win the lottery i'm going to buy one and convert it to a mobile home.
(after i buy SCS software)

You focus on few aspects and argue only based on that. If you call some brand horrible, it’s only based on the few experiences you had and only that. Others might like it and it doesn’t make their opinion invalid.

Let me tell you about the scenario of NA. Volvo NA is known for its expensive repairs and increased downtime, yet it’s the second most purchased OTR truck in the US and considered one of the most comfortable in the market. The top-selling model, the Cascadia, has a horrible ride comfort. Every model comes with their drawbacks. There’s no perfect model. The scenario would the same in Europe as well, otherwise there won’t be 7-9 brands.

As for the DAF: The new gen XG+ stands as my favourite European model as of now because of the unmatched direct visibility it offers as compared to its competitors.

wich is total nonsense anyway because all 7 have a 24/7 emergency service, they would be stupid not to have something like this

Just found this on Pinterest while searching for NG DAF pics:

Looks like the midlift is no longer UK/IRL exclusive.

The XG+ FTG appears in the web configurator for several countries now, indeed.

If they were to bring more axle configurations to XF/G/G+, I wouldn't mind the 6x4 and 8x4 configs that are planned to come by the end of this year.

For the sake of having options for the heavy loads, they included the 6x4 even on a truck that hasn't it IRL (Renault T). So, we can pretty guess they will add the 6x4 DAF once available. The doubt is about the 8x4; it existed also in the previous version but was never added to the game.

Yeah, more trucks should have the 8x4 option available but don't have one, maybe because the models are older and were made before heavy transport was added(?).

But back to the NG DAF, I think that because it's one of the newer models, they would have no problem bringing the 8x4 configuration to the game.
Who knows, we'll see once it becomes available IRL.

Of course there is a midlift aviable, there is huge market for them outside of UK, Scs either has not payed attention or the midlift we not introduced when DAF contacted Scs, now i am expecting it to be updated.
