SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Re: (WIP) Discover Ontario Dec 11, 2021
This is a cool idea for a mod, I just think the broken connections to Canadream kinda kill it for me. Hopefully that's remedied soon.
Re: (WIP) Discover Ontario Dec 11, 2021
I know it feel like a long time, but I do think I have found the long load issue, was a conflict with Midwest Exp, I fix in my map.
currently working on an underground mine at Sudbury, and adding ferry at Tobermory, think this is the only ferry inside North America (ATS). hope to start testing next week. If all works well we will enjoy.

Thanks for taking the long load times issue up. It would be great if you could fix it. I am having the same issue. And thanks for the map. A great addition to ATS.
Re: (WIP) Discover Ontario Dec 11, 2021
I don't mind the broken connections much, Canadream is pretty low-quality so I don't drive there much anyway. Will the ferry connect to the base map (like Port Angeles)?
Re: (WIP) Discover Ontario Dec 11, 2021
I finally got this map to work on 1.43! Finally no crashes! Going to go explore it now! I already know it'll be fire! I'm really excited for the northern part of this map going forward! Excited for Sudbury, Parry Sound (i hope it is included) Sault Ste-Marie, etc. !!!

Looking good. No major game-breaking bugs, other than London being labelled on the map twice and the cars in Ontario not having licence plates (I went ahead and made a mini-personal mod for myself that adds the plates and some stuff from Promods Canada to Ontario, like RCMP cars).

Even with the update, there are still broken roads north of Detroit:

Additionally, Windsor, Sarnia and towns between there and just west of London don't load in the map editor at all, instead the low-quality C2C versions of the 401 and 402 highways appear (and while opening the map editor, I get duplicity errors, which may be related):

The map editor bug is particularly frustrating to me as I am considering improving the Michigan side.

@MattB2100 What sector is that, as that looks a piece from C2C ?
Not sure what you want from me. As you may know I am new to mapping. If I can help I will

Those sectors are +0013-0006, +0013-0007, +0014-0006, and +0014-0007.
EDIT: I was able to solve the editor problem by deleting files for those sectors from 50 United, and in doing so I was also able to reveal an unrealistic elevation rise on I-696 north of Detroit that may be causing the broken roads:

Thank you @MattB2100 I will take a look. Thank you for your help.
When I added sectors +0013-0006 and +0013-0007 to connect to "D Ontario",
I changed only south of Detroit deleted in to Canadream, north of Detroit added new road to Windsor, and Sarnia.
Did not change any other roads in Michigan. +0014-0006, and +0014-0007 not in "D Ontario"
Once again Thanks for your help
