Why is that payments don't scale with cargo weight?

Is it logic that you get paid the same for 5 or 20 tons considering the latter will use way more fuel?

Example, because that isn't how it is supposed to work?

Yes, that is logical as long as the 5 tons freight are of higher value, fragility, urgency or classification. Like 5 tons of medicine compared to 20 tons of steel during pandemics.
This is not a signature.

Yes bro, that makes sense, but I'm obviously speaking about cargo of the same type.

It was not obvious in any sense as you hadn't mentioned anything about it being the same cargo before.

but what kind of cargo type is it you have experienced this with? Because when i as example is in the freight market and take a job then if i change the size of trailer from 13,6 meter (standard trailer) to 25,25 meter (double trailer) before i collect it from company, i am paid more as i should be.

Payments scale with the weigh AND with other things: urgency of the job, distance of delivery... As soon as you start to have several key abilities leveled up, total payment value becomes way more complicated than just "amount of cargo hauled".

I get paid in reality strictly based on distance. I get paid the same $0.58/mile with a 1,000 pound load and with a 45,000 pound load.
I know many companies do this differently in reality, but cargo weight is never the sole factor of pay. A heavier load will never guarantee a higher pay, so that shouldn't happen in-game either.

But this doesn't make any sense, you need a bigger truck and extra fuel to carry those extra 44,000 pounds!
