So with Iowa out, now it’s time to bring on the bayou. Depending on whenever SCS decides to release Nordic Horizon for ETS2, I could see Louisiana coming out November or December.

I do hope Louisiana comes out this year. Being able to drive from Iowa to Louisiana by the end of 2025 would be Icing on the cake for the year.

Ditto here as well. I definitely hope we get Louisiana this year. We can finally get Texas closed in. Louisiana opens up East Texas even more as well. Louisiana is one of the most interesting states that I've been waiting on since Texas was even announced. That was 5 years ago.

Yeah Louisiana definitely had to wait its turn, especially compared to what everyone was thinking before Pavel revealed that the Great Lakes was the direction of the general thrust of mapping. I think at that time, no one would have guessed that it would be the 7th DLC released after Texas. IIRC most of us were thinking it'd be the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, maybe the 4th if they stair-stepped with Kansas first. It's a good reminder to remember that plans can change very quickly, although nowadays I think with SCS being so much larger its probably harder to "turn the ship around" so to speak, than it was back then.

But I think it will be worth the wait. The road network we saw in the ATS 2025 trailer video is awesome and I've been impressed with the screenshots we've seen so far.

It'll be a pretty significant change of pace from what we've been getting recently, and while Arkansas started to hint at the landscapes we might see in northern Louisiana, southern Louisiana is a whole different beast that will provide a very unique biome. I think they just really need to push that UI map out in front of people to show them that even though the state is small, they still managed to jam-pack it.

^Yeah I can agree with all that. The trailer definitely revealed an awesome map. I'm and serious excited for Louisiana. Arkansas can throw out hints of LA but yeahhhh you really have to venture further South into Louisiana to appreciate it. I've only traveled thru it 2 times while on vacation about 5 years ago. But it left me with a really good impression. Tree wall roads everywhere. The density the trailer revealed is justified. I think most states moving East will be along these same lines........tree tunnel roads galore. This is great because the smaller the states get, you'd think the road network would suffer massively. I think SCS can pull off the East nicely and give us decent density without over crowding the map.
