Looking absolutely wonderful; and so unique! I bet that wooden bridge in Picture 5 is part of a hidden road.

Re: Louisiana Discussion Thread
The vegetation in Louisiana is 50% of the reason I look so forward to this dlc. Driving thru it twice before had me noticing just how lushy covered in vegetation this state is. It's definitely a different vibe compared to anything we'd gotten so far in ATS. Louisiana is just different when it comes to unique biomes. Dating back to Arkansas, we've seen a lot of the road network developed in Northern and Western Louisiana to let us know how it was coming along. The road network that we saw a year or so ago always intrigued me. It showed how dense some areas will be. Mainly the Shreveport area. Then on the ATS trailer, the map leak showed it all. So the dlc seems to be coming along very well. The presentation is pretty sweet. The cover art is epic. I'm soooo hoping we get this dlc this year to finally give ATS 3 maps in one year.
Border off Texas and we can literally drive completely thru Texas with Louisiana in place. My Cruising Event would narrow down to Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma only though. Texas is enough to get into going back and forth. I'm looking forward to the logging and oil/gas industries the most in Louisiana. Agriculture wise, I sure hope we can finally get sugar cane. Outside of that, rice, cotton and soybeans. We have rice, cotton and soybeans already so that should be pretty easy and hopefully not missed. Sugarcane is the new one. Heck use the Sweetbeets prefab as a base and rebrand it. Orrrrr make it a subsidiary company to Sweetbeets.

Pic 8 must be taken somewhere in or near Grand Chenier on LA-28. At least 28 miles is the distance between Grand Chenier and Pecan Island. However, the sign seems to be fictional as I couldn't find any distance signs on LA-28.
My guess is somewhere here: https://www.google.de/maps/@29.7656398, ... FQAw%3D%3D
Maybe this house is on the pic, even if it's not an exact fit: https://www.google.de/maps/@29.7600135, ... FQAw%3D%3D
I noticed some damaged buildings along the road, possibly due to Hurricane Laura in 2020 - (here, here or here)

Along LA-28 there's this draw bridge. Maybe we'll get it at least as static model.Mooner_37 wrote: 06 Jul 2025 21:44 I wonder if there will be some functional draw bridges included in Louisiana DLC. Those who are in the Washington DLC are still cool after all these years.

Cool pics, the vegetation variety looks great! Love some of the details like the little cut trunks sticking out from the water.

Yeah, that looks like it has potential.HayesPacific wrote: 15 Jul 2025 15:50 I bet that wooden bridge in Picture 5 is part of a hidden road.
What also caught my eye with Pic 5 is that thing in between the bridges; it looks like a boardwalk that ends with a big model of an alligator snapping turtle for some reason. That might help with identifying its location.
I know there's no chance of it happening, but imagine a random event unique to swamps of the South of an alligator snapping turtle in the middle of the road, with its mouth gaping open and everything. Hitting it would have to result in some truck damage; these dinosaurs can weigh hundreds of pounds. Having one of these in the middle of the road is a bit far fetched, but I hope they will still appear like alligators will, off to the side of the road.
