SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Using the the D16 engine windows closed.
Btw, i'm using the 2018 VNL mod could that cause sound conflict?

I compared it with vanilla VNL with same Engine using kreichbaum sound pack and it's definitely louder than vanilla. If you don't have the issue maybe it's a bug or some mod conflict on my part

Galimims? I haven't used these together for a while but try without it and see if that helps.
Edit: I just compared the two using a D16, this 670 engine's sound are definitely louder than the stock SCS one.

Still so loud after removing Galimims mod. Maybe cause I'm used to the vanilla VNL is the reason, so I will play around with the volume settings until I find that sweet spot for me.
Thank for replying and your help and I hope to see more from you in the future

It's using the default SCS sound banks as there's none in the mod. I'm not sure what needs to be changed to alter the decibel level. When I helped Kriechbaum with sound testing he could lower it on his end and reload it and we could hear the new sound without even leaving the game.
Edit: There's a "volume" interger in the engine defs. I'm going to lower it from 16.1 to 10 and then compare it.

That could work by lowering the engine decibels.

I lowered that engine line to 0, it stayed the same. I'm stumped on that one because the SCS VNL uses 16.1 as well.

That’s the engine displacement in liters
So 16.1 liters for Volvo D16K
So 16.1 liters for Volvo D16K
I have approximate knowledge of many things
