SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. Thanks for your help with from another post. You were life safer since I love this truck a lot. Now even happier since did not know the Compatalbity add-on for steering DLC was a thing to until now lol.

@wesleysnipez You're welcome! I'll be pushing out a small fix soon for steering wheel adjustments as well as fixing the luminance values on the dashboard so you can see the indicators during the day properply.

So I grabbed this amazing truck today and there's no engine sounds for it. Kriechbaum's Engine Pack 3.9 Volvo engine also has no sound. Is there a fix for this or not? Because the default VNL and the 2018 VNL have sound. Idfk what's going on.

Did you picked it from the first page of this thread?.
You didn't swap ets-2 and ats truck files? ?, for ets-2 you need a separate sound mod..

And i assume you have your truck active in right pane of mod-manager?.
Give it high priority, and remove and or deactivated other soundpacks (kriechbaum) that work with volvo vnl !.

A re-start of ats might help if one of your mods isn't working?.

Maybe you have already a volvo vnl (besides the stock scs one) in your mod's?

Did you check your game log(s) to check if any error lines pointing to this volvo vnl are in? ?.

Pleaser note that i'm only a fellow user of this truck, and on my system it works with a few flaws which Digital X is working on just fine that is with sound! !.

Some additional info, your correct, kriechbaum sound for volvo vnl doesn't seems to work?, don't know why.
If you look at the size of soundbank files, kriechbaum file is more then double the size of stock scs sound bank.

If i where you i should de-activate and remove the kriechbaum soundpack (3.9) and stick to the stock volvo vnl sounds from scs!.
But it's your choice ofcourse!.

This truck is really giving me trouble to update. Keeps clashing with engines of the original VNL and getting kriechbaums sounds to get picked up is non existent. I really am at a loss here of what to do...

Tried renaming the engines, then renaming everything that needs to be. From "volvo_vnl" to "volvo.vnl" but no dice.

Digital X,

I have looked into kriechbaum sound megapack just as you did probably.
And i got lost in that many options, for so many engines ? ?.

You might consider to make a separate sound mod for the ATS (VNL), and just keeping your engine files and maybe two or three engines to choose from and then copy kriechbaum soundbanks and reference file into the mod.
No guarantee of success, there might be heavy edit work on soundref files on your hand.
I noticed that kriechbaum is replacing or overrides the volvo.vnl stock files, where aradeth has volvo_vnl as truck name(s).

For me personally stock scs sound for the vnl is fine, but maybe others would disagree.

Yeah It would be nice, but I can't take sounds from him like that. Updated the OP with an update for 1.43 and QoL adjustments.
