The white glow is pushed back and into under the bumper. It is blocky with the sharp edges as you said. However I just tried the truck on another profile with less mods. It works just like your video / normal. I must have a mod conflict with some of my other mods.

Yeah I had that issue on another truck, it's definitely another truck conflicting. You will have to remove that truck or any one by one to find the culprit. The headlights are an easy fix though.

I found the problem. I had the original Volvo mod in the mod manager. Thus the conflict. I took it out no more problem. Sorry to take up your time. But keep up the good work.!!

Hello, unfortunately for me, version 1.41 throws the game into the system.

@tobvi11 We aren't magicians, so we need information to help you. After a crash, post your game.log.txt to pastebin.com (no account needed) and then post the link here and we'll have a look for you.
The file can be found at "C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\American Truck Simulator" for a default install.

I have run the truck on it's own without problems. Where exactly is this kicking you out of the game? I have videos showing the truck works.

These may be the culprit:

Code: Select all

00:00:07.195 : [mods] Active local mod Volvo_VNL_2018_2.30 (name: VOLVO VNL 2018, version: 2.29, author: galimim,scs,franck_peru,yekkoyek)
00:00:07.195 : [mods] Active local mod VNL_DLC_1.0 (name: VOLVO VNL DLC Addon, version: 1.0, author: galimim, SCS)
Can you disable these please and let me if that helps?

Edit: Your buffer page size may be a little too low, can you go to config.cfg and find this line:

Code: Select all

uset r_buffer_page_size "10"
change it to

Code: Select all

uset r_buffer_page_size "30"
Since you have this warning in your game.log:

Code: Select all

00:00:17.488 : <WARNING> [resource_task] Default temporary buffer is insufficient while reading '/vehicle/truck/volvo_vnl_2018/truck.pmg' with size 28072012
As well as some skybox warnings of the same nature but that is most likely caused by Project Next Gen.

I've just ran the truck on it's own again and the D11 355 engine selected in the garage and working fine.

I will look into this line:

Code: Select all

00:00:25.924 : <ERROR> Missing accessory (/def/vehicle/truck/volvo.vnl/engine/d11_355.sii) replaced by (/def/vehicle/truck/volvo.vnl/engine/d11_355.sii).
To see if I can alleviate it from the log, but that should not be causing any crashing.

Edit: Here's my log, I just made a new profile and had this truck activated: https://pastebin.com/Di1iud23

That engine def error is still there, but I successfully purchased the truck with the D11 355 engine without crashing.

Edit: I know what's causing the D11 355 error in the game.log this can be fixed by the user.

Open the .scs file navigate to "def\vehicle\truck\volvo_vnl\engine\"

Open up the D11 355.sii and change "volvo.vnl" to "volvo_vnl"

Slight update on what I've been busy with this evening, had a go at modelling in Blender. This is the first time I've successfully got a custom bull bar working. It's not perfect and only has 2 slots at the moment but it's a start :)

I am looking at making some heavy duty oversize style bumpers as well, now I'm more comfortable with the process in Blender.

The only I don't understand is how to make it a seperate addon in the list of upgrades. It's replacing a standard bull bar at the moment.
