Aeroplanes have wrong registration numbers [NOT A BUG]

#1 Post by Laqueesha » 09 Nov 2021 14:37

The aeroplane that spawns as part of random events has an incorrect registration number. Civilian US aeroplanes' registration numbers begin with the letter "N", followed by 5 characters. An example in Arizona shown below.

Wrong aeroplane registration number: ;[09/11/2021 09:34:52] (sec-0017+0008);-65043.8;55.9996;32509.7;0.209314;-0.24253

I thought this might be a foreign-registered plane. But it turns out that "AR..." is not a registration prefix that is currently in use anywhere in the world.

I concur that an N-number would make more sense here. If SCS wanted to avoid reproducing an existing N-number, they could simply replace the "A" with an "N", for "NRN75W". According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_a ... n_prefixes, real-life N-numbers now all have a digit in second place, so "NR..." is clearly fictional while still looking more realistic than what is there now.

Thanks, I noticed this also applies to helicopters, they too have the wrong number on the tail:
