Man that is sweet! You got any more pics? I love those old flat top sleepers, I want to include it in a future version, time permitting, along with those air cleaners and grill.

I'll be sure to keep a copy of the changelog in this thread as well.

@Outlaw Transport I know I have a couple more pics around, but back in those days we only had film cameras so I'll have grab some pics with my phone off of them. Th '88 came with vertical bars in the grill which I painted every other bar flat black just to give it more of a cool look. In the above pic I have a bug screen over it so it's a bit hard to tell. What would be awesome is if you could put nodes on the model for reverse lights up on the sleeper like I have there. ;)

Actually I'm adding a few new lights, I'll be sure to include options for some reverse lights up there!

Also, the flat top version of the 80s 4900 seems super rare these days, I can't find any good reference photos of the sleeper itself - particularly the 36 in coffin it looks like yours had? They're all either day cabs or have the big sleeper.

I found this 4964 with a very similar looking setup. Did yours look like this? It feels like it's missing cutouts in the corners for the stacks that the larger sleepers have?

Oh and @Digital X is just being modest. I'm essentially doing the fluff, he fixed the actual functions of the truck :P

Those pics are of a slightly older model, mine was an '88, that may be an '86 or '85. The hood & fenders slope down slightly on the '88 just like your model. Mine was a unibody flat top, there were indents in the cab where the stacks were. A little odd looking from inside the bunk lol.

@Trucker_71 that star of yours looked super nice! My dad came close to buying the Autocar of that time that had the western star sleeper around 91.

@Outlaw Transport thank you so much for an awesome Western Star mod! A slightly dumb question though I downloaded the compatibility mods but the kriechbaum patch doesn’t seem to be working? I have it placed above the truck itself in mod manager.

Also FYI when you look into adding sleepers definitely should think about adding the Heritage sleeper in.

@Twisted1013 Just tested the compatibility patch for Kriechbaum's sounds and it is working.

Load order:

1. 4900EX Kriechbaum compatibility.
2. Engine sound pack 3.9
3. 4900EX truck mod

@Outlaw Transport If you look closely at @Twisted1013's pic, the area behind the stack, the sleeper is indented for the stack. That sleeper is the same as on my truck except it has the air deflector on top. Looks like that's an '87 and you can see the hood slopes down slightly. :)

Hi @Outlaw Transport

Thanks for any updates.

You have plans to improve the interior?
