The sound of the engine in the cockpit is now intermittent.
You can hear the sound event playback loops, which does not add realism.
The sound of the turn signals is very hard to hear.

@alecwarper Yeah I was a little hopeful about seeing at least some rough extensions off those roads, rather than it disappearing into the side of a hill like I-10 does now, but it will come in due time! Maybe even during one of the updates to this OB, who knows.
And thanks so much! Now that I'm all caught up on the current game it's not too much work to maintain anymore. It's really interesting to me and a lot of fun to find the locations, so I'm glad others get enjoyment from it.

Re: ATS 1.43 Open Beta Discussion Thread
I can confirm that while moving from the interior to the exterior camera or vice-versa, the sound transition is not smooth, hearing some sound peak as supersobes described...
With PC volume and all volume sliders at 50%, the sound mixing is actually better than before, but I don't think anything changed in the loudness levels i.e. The cab insulation factor is missing. Not sure if I'm the only one feeling this way.
And for the truck sounds themselves, I don't think anything has changed, it's the same old recording, at least for the Cascadia and the LT. So better not to expect a new sound for the VNL

I think its only the Interior sound they did. Nothing to do with outside of it.

ATS is typically always the platform to get tested first. Small game, smaller fan base, less impact on community.Ceco wrote: 11 Nov 2021 17:53 I was surprised because we didn't have any information about version 1.43 for ATS what it will bring
I wouldn't say a huge rework. Kriech takes SCS sounds and tweaks them with little effort if you ask me. SCS just doesn't have Kriech's talent.Freeze338 wrote: 11 Nov 2021 19:02 Will they change engine sounds as well to make realistic just like Kriechbaum or is it a small adjustment? The sound is really requiring a huge rework from the start.
I was trying to figure out why so many people was online. I see now, lol. OB is out and OMG. I didn't expect to get owned dumpers. New ones at that. Are the old dumper ownable?
This one riggggggght here. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/i ... =w640-h360. This I love. I've been asking and asking and asking for SmithCo dumpers. Wellllll we pretty much got them. Side dumpers are soooo much more attractive than the current ones. I thought we'd get this at the beginning with Wyoming but this is good too. These dumpers make mining and quarried jobs worth it now. I'm happy to see these. Looks like we got reworked standard dumpers too. They look a lot better.
Soo if we are getting these, that leaves owned tankers with Texas for sure. Maybe we get the step deck, curtain sider and reworked car haulers in the future. But this is great. Okay, now time to go actually read the blog. The pics go me hype.
So yeah if more California makes it later in this update, that would be icing on the cake. The blog explained that more is coming so this isn't it. But if we test these dumpers out, that is less later to correct for bugs.

Re: ATS 1.43 Open Beta Discussion Thread
I didn't expect the open beta for ATS 1.43 to be released that early, but it's a welcome surprise. It's true that it doesn't bring a lot of features, but the blog explicitly mentions that this is only the first iteration of the update and that they plan to add more features during the Open Beta's duration.
@Bedavd That's unfortunate that there isn't some hidden roads so far. I don't know if they could be one of the features that they plan to add eventually during 1.43, but since these roads aren't supposed to be bug reported I'm not really sure if it's likely. BTW, your ATS IRL map is amazing and a great resource to consult unmarked towns and confirmed cities for upcoming DLCs! Love how you even account for the city streets!

Re: ATS 1.43 Open Beta Discussion Thread
I briefly tested the new version and the truck engine sounds are as they were unfortunately.
The SDF font in the interface is clearer and more readable than the previous one, but the license plates are as they were, blurry and poorly readable at close range. From the blog description, it appears that the license plates have changed.
IMO the license plates they should a new 3D model.
Quote from the blog;
"In the first iteration of this update, we are introducing this new font technique to the game interface, convoy name tags, GPS, license plates and truck dashboards. We hope you can clearly see the difference when you see them."
IMO the cab interior sounds are very similar from previous versions.
Question for the developers: The tarp on the dump trucks is permanently covered when delivering loads, or exposed in some cases ?

Not many new sign assets added yet. A few relating to Texas but nothing specifically mentioned. Quite a few different directional signs with distance, finally the correct signage for roundabouts, and some new guardrail ends.
