In your config file change the 0 to 1 in these 2 lines:
uset g_developer "0"
uset g_console "0"
When in game press 0 (on the letter side of the keyboard) use the keypad numbers to move and mouse to change direction.
Fly speed is changed with the mouse wheel.

Not any other that it's really practical. But as Madkine said you; if you just stay on an open beta branch that will be of the version where everything worked for you; you will be playing with all the features available of that moment and controlling exactly hen any update is going to be applied to you. That's all you need as per your explanation.
Mind that even if they are "beta branches", their content is not as like when the beta periods started but as like when those periods ended. They are beta branches by name, but the content are versions as like they were released to public.

Is this AI car (Kia Ceed) using its foglights? Never seen that before. Shortly after i made these pictures, heavy fog started to appear (no weather or map mods!!!).

Re: ETS2 1.43 discussion thread
Heavy fog appears on some heavy rain situations since lighting update. Was one of the additions they made that was not included in the changelog (as far as I remember)
No idea if the AI vehicles are using fog lights or if they are just modeled to use those lights at night in whatever condition. I didn't payed attention to those details so far. But I think if the fog lights were in use by AI it would be pretty noticeable; most vehicles have a single rear fog light sol it should be easy to spot if it's being used.
BTW that I would swear they have added some kind of volumetric clouds too, seen them all over the bay when crossing the bridge on A12 near Lisboa. Like if they were testing their use.

Re: ETS2 1.43 discussion thread
I'm going to have to take a closer look next time. I never pay attention to lights/flares unless a mod messes them up.
Re: ETS2 1.43 discussion thread
I can see you've already got the answer from xXCARL1992Xx. Short story, SCS made some changes in 1.43 with the axle orders and the problem is visible for taglifts/ midlifts. My suggestion is to avoid these type of chassis at the moment, untill I'll release a fix.

Re: ETS2 1.43 discussion thread
Definitly not a 2012 ETS2 1.0 edition car. I guess the vehicle model creator messed something up with flares and what should light up and what not.
We don't have foglights for absolute no reason, so why should the AI

Re: ETS2 1.43 discussion thread
We do have beacon lights and I haven't seen a difference with AI reacting to them (unless I'm wrong), so they're also for no reason. But they're there for realism, and so could be the fog lights. Especially now that there's multiplayer.
