"Cater to everyone" might not be the best choice of words for a request, as such a thing is simply impossible. Any amount of catering to any portion of users is guaranteed to upset someone. The best you can do is cater to the largest portion so as to retain their business.
With more brands entering the game, and more models from those brands, it is only a matter of time before they run out of "new" and have to revert to old.
Trucks are not like cars in that they only make small changes every few years as opposed to cars almost changing the entire vehicle every year, so 2022 trucks won't have enough, if any, differences from what we currently have in-game to make adding new trucks worth it.
The 2022 Cascadia has some rather significant interior changes from the 2016, but the 2020 Cascadia does not. It took several years to implement those changes, and they are only to small portions of the interior.

I do believe older trucks is eventually inevitable, but we may or may not be many years away from that. Alternatively, I suppose it is possible for SCS to simply stop producing more trucks at some point (or at least only release new ones every few years as significant changes hit the market).

I know right. That 9900i was a surprise to us all. But the thing is, we don't know how that went down. Imho, in Sep 2019, that sound blog in which SCS has the 9900i on that list, I figured they had that license way back then which was before it went out of production. Old debt to me. I think that is the truck Pavel referred to for ATS. He put an "s" on the end of trucks and said it for both games. There are 3 Internationals on that list. I've always said that I doubt SCS came all that way to the US to Navistar just for one truck license, the Lonestar. The way that interview sounded was like Navistar wanted in all the way. All the way to me means that manufacturer wants all they have in the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see the HX sooner than later. Its half way done with both the Lonestar and LT in the game. That would give us the main roster for OTR trucks for International. The heck with 2 brands per truck, we could jump up to 4 with just International just like that.

Full year of classics....I could go for that. Whatever that WS was SCS was working on prior to the 49x, I'd love to see it surface this year for 2022 as well. Its been in on the shelf for quite some time now. We got 364 days to get it in, lol. I'd love to see SCS take a shot at something from this list though. I'd also consider their other forms of social media. That type of info should have been gathered thru the years if SCS cared to bring a classic truck. Not everyone is on here. But something to go buy are Steam mods. I'd have to say the K100 is the most popular one at over 100k subscribers....and that's just on Steam. Take even 50% of that and people would love to get that in ATS. As ATS's number one target for COE, I think the K100 would do a lot more good than harm for SCS. Sure making a truck is a long process, I think the way they model trucks now, can still be a lot better than 2016 trucks without CAD files. If overfloater can do it with references, why can't SCS? Truck sounds would be what they are no matter what. So just find any truck in Europe imported from the NA and get cooperation from someone that runs something from the list below:

For those that use mods, Kriechbaum pretty much has this entire list already for overfloater's K100 and others. The cool thing is, all his engine sounds are per engine, not per truck like SCS. The bad part about Kriech's mod is that there are soooo many great sounding engines that it's hard to pick just one. I wouldn't be surprised if most trucks in this list used something from the list above.

I had hoped the final lineup would be a little more diverse, but oh well. We’ll get that Kenworth T2000 eventually :P

Flight, maybe an idea for future polls to group the options by brand/write the full names of the trucks, just for those that aren’t as familiar with American trucks.

My choices were Century (for cool modern truck), Argosy (pretty much only modern cabover), Ultraliner and Transtar (for cool classic cabovers) and 359 (for a proper classic Peterbilt).

^Good point on brands. But honestly the way I was seeing it, is you don’t need to cast votes here if you are just picking something at random. That throws the votes off. IMO, one should know something about the line up. But that’s just me. The model itself is what people mainly know if anything else. If you know the model, you know the brand. I can edit if something comes off the list for clarity though. The poll might reset if I touch it, not 100% sure though.

I did not know a lot of the options people put out there but Google searching doesn’t take much time to find models.

Crap...I actually just found an error. There are only 14 trucks. I missed the Peterbilt 362 some how. If I add it, the polls will definitely rest. If I do it now, it’s still early perhaps. What would you guys like me to do?

I voted for the Freightliner Century Class, Freightliner Classic XL, Freightliner Argosy, Peterbilt 351, and Kenworth K100 because those trucks were featured in the 18 Wheels of Steel games and I think that those trucks will bring back memories from those games.

SCS software launched before 2010, "Steel 18 Wheels", "18 Wheels Trucks: Crossing America", "18 Wheels Trucks: Metal Madness", "18 Wheels Trucks: Escorts", "18 Wheels Trucks: Handling Experts", and "18 Big Wheel Truck: American Long-distance Transport, "18 Wheel Big Truck: Extreme Truck Driver", "18 Wheel Big Truck: Extreme Truck Driver 2", there are many classic trucks in these games, we don’t know if scs will be used in American truck simulation The classic trucks of these games are handed down
Hopefully in the future America Truck Simulator will add these trucks: Freightliner 122SD/Century/Columbia/FLD/Cascadia/Coronado, Kenworth T800/T880/W990,Volvo VNX740, International HX520/ ProStar, and MACK Pinnacle, MACK Titan.

The 386/387 series from Peterbilt are such beautiful trucks.
Best Regards.
