But yeah multiple pickup and drop points could be a game changer
Combined with closing hours? Wow

And closing hours would led us to variable rest time; that would be also a nice addition.

it would also be more realistic if the cities have restrictions like no doubles as IRL its not allowed to go into a city with double trailers
so you have to drive them in one by one... but its fine to use it in an industrial area..
and maybe if they put different powersources in the sim/game like trucks that are electric or run on gas like CNG and LNG as in most cities today is required to enter like in belgium
so that you have to make a choice to buy a truck that matches the requirements of some areas
some trucks like the older iveco and older volvo and older renault in the game are becoming to old to get into cities by todays standards.. emmision wise i mean... but they are fine to haul shippingcontainers to industrial areas and move building equipment to building sights
for now its basicly: buy a truck , buy a trailer and go where ever you want to go

It is about long haul ...
Electric trucks are used locally not between large tranport hubs
But nice idea

i know.. but when you startoff you do short distances.. and also its good from a marketing point of view for the brands to offer other options to choose from..plykkegaard wrote: ↑19 Dec 2021 14:12 It is about long haul ...

Iveco, Scania, Volvo and MAN got thier CNG/LNG thing doing..
mercedes has going down the electric route even though the range is crap the torque of that electric motor is very surprising compared to a diesel engine as it keeps pulling untill it reaches the set speed limit of the truck

Re: ETS2 1.44 speculation thread
there is nothing surprising about the torque of an electric engine, it is almost instant and way better then on any combustion engine because the efficiency is over 60% of it compared to Diesel, with not even 50, and Petrol is the worst of all, but the eActros is the torque on the wheel not of the engine itself
but Mercedes is doing Hydrogene anyway most likely for everything

havent seen that one yet on trucks.. i did with busses..xXCARL1992Xx wrote: ↑19 Dec 2021 16:02 but Mercedes is doing Hydrogene anyway most likely for everything
but sofar during my work we use diesel, LNG and electric as a trail.. but sofar electric isnt good on range.. runs out after 150 km city average driving.. as the cooling unit and lift on the back of the truck also has an effect on the range..
LNG is good for the low emmission zones and has a range of 1000 km for the scania and 1500 km for the Iveco on 350 kg of gas ( dual tanks)
and diesel has the most range but is getting banned from city entry bit by bit.. and as i typed before.. some trucks in ETS2 are getting outdated as IRL they are not allowed to enter citys for delivery
brussel is becoming electric only in 2030 if the plan still keeps standing by that time

I forgot to mention it, but I hope that in update 1.44 I will rework the complete car trains in Calais, l as we got a completely reworked port in Calais
Re: ETS2 1.44 speculation thread
They could add more places with greater challenges for loading and unloading materials

Agreed @Ceco with that comment. Can’t understand why when reworking Calais and the ferry port the tunnel was left. Badly needs reworking as it’s nothing like real life and just needs updating. The tunnel in the uk really annoys me too as that is nothing like real life either but hopefully with a rework in the coming years that should get completely reworked.
