Long time before I had the same Problem.
Actually, the problem is that people don't like popups, and close them without reading what's in them, and sometimes that comes back to bite them on the posterior...

It's frustrating that external images are no longer visible, replaced by generic URLs. Lack of user notification about this change is disappointing and hampers the overall user experience.
