Hey, my intention is to resume the work after the summer. Right now I prefer to focus on other activities while the weather is nice, as a matter of fact I haven't got Montana DLC yet haha!

I have it, and there are some billboards, but not a lot.
To be honest, some of your billboards appear in Montana.

Time for some updates! I finally got Montana DLC and the new billboard textures are awaiting to be tested ingame. Indeed, there are significantly less textures compared to WY, so it was quick.
Still, I decided to take a small break from the billboards to make new textures for the stores. There is still lots of work ahead... adjust some stuff, change other... but this is a preview of some of what I got so far.

@kostraelpayaso
Yesss....looks amazing my guy.
Can't wait to see the new billboards you add, and maybe down the road if you can figure it out, replacing the gas stations with real life brands (EX: Chevron over Aron and Citgo over Gallon)

Hi, sorry for the lack of updates, unfortunately I have made little progress on the last months. I am preparing myself for a public position in the forestry field so I decided to put the next update of the project on hold for a few months until I am done with the exams, in order to avoid distractions. I will resume the work after that

Re: [REL][WIP] Project USA 1980's - Real 1980's billboards and textures
Hi all! After some time with no updates I'm excited to announce new progress on the project: I've created over 50 new commerce signs and changed dozens of related textures, as always inspired by or based on vintage references.
I kinda did it the wrong way, since I basically made them before even testing any of them ingame. The problem with that is that the textures of these signs are often reused by the game in order to save resources, stretching, dividing and pasting them on other places, which can mess them up if you don't follow the original pattern of the sign, like this or this this, which honestly Removed - Rule 2.3 sucks. Therefore, by not testing them while I was making them now leaves a lot to be corrected.
Another thing that I've noticed is that the game tends to use the same dozen or so of textures, instead of the full available catalog of over 80 textures, which decreases the variety of signs that spawn ingame, and that also makes it harder to test them. I am not sure if this happens by default or it is consequence of the mod. I am considering releasing a beta so those issues can be reported, as the map is huge and is easy for me to miss them.
Anyway, all the bad stuff aside, I am content with the results so far, and I leave it to you guys to judge it

On a different note, Texas DLC won't likely get any updates soon. Money is a bit tight and so is time to play, so I decided to pass on the DLC for now.

I love the aesthetic this mod provides and hope it will be updated at some point in the future.
