Convoy mod(s) problems

Lately we have some trouble with crew getting in the convoy. Yesterday a friend couldnt join my convoy because the engine mod we use didn't "match". This one was from the Steam Workshop so he removed it, installed again but same problem. Same thing with a mod a downloaded from a site. He did as well and its the same version and all but still said no match or could not be found on local server?

Without log files from both users from the failed session, not much we can do but guess.
