None of my SCS games will start

Whenever I try play ETS2 or ATS I am greeted by a small white box that says the name of the application and an error sound then it just automatically closes itself does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Can you get a screenshot of the dialog bog and a game.log please.

Also PC specs would be good too.

Game.log can be found in Documents/Euro Truck Simulator or American Truck Simulator/game.log. You can use Pastebin or a similar site to upload the contents.

Hi everyone
Got the same problem
ATS and ETS2 run for like 2 seconds and then close themselves. No error messages, its just shutdown.
My specs:
ASUS ROG STRIX G15 G513IH-HN002, AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, RAM 8GB, SSD 512GB, GeForce GTX 1650 4GB, Windows 11 64x
I updated my videocard drivers, directx. Checked game files in steam. Tried to re-instal. Tried to load previous (beta) version of game.
Nothing happed. Games are still close by themselves.

I'm having the same problem. The game starts to open then just closes itself. I played it last night and there were no system changes (at least visible ones) in the few hours since then.

Edit: I'll also add that I tried running the game without patching with Steam in offline mode at first because I have a trip in progress, so it doesn't seem to have anything to do with today's game updates.

Same problem after today update. ETS 2 not work on any saves. ATS work fine.

Check graphics drivers. It's best to reinstall them.

I suggest you verify the game files again and wait until they are all validated. It takes a few minutes.
Today I had a problem with the update myself and only a renewed update fixed the problem.

@MirM I already verified files, and as I said, it happened without today's patch installed (with Steam in offline mode) and now with the patch installed. I don't think it's anything directly related to the update.

All three game logs shared here suddenly stop during the device load procedures (but not always on the same kind of devices).

As most you can try to be sure updated drivers and integrity of files is OK as MirM says. But in general terms, I think in this case you all should share the crash logs and wait for a dev to take a look.

Just solved my problem. Yep, in Steam I did verify files. Two files broken after update.
