Re: Bumpy Roads
PLEASE
Ive complained about this for years about the lack of small bumps or the change of sound when going over bridges/expansion joints
ive tried finding mods for such a thing but noone has made it
Adding such a detail would increase immersion hugely

Re: Bumpy Roads
I really wish SCS Software would add these types of sounds you hear while driving on the highway. These sounds are coming from an interstate highway in Texas, but you get the idea:

Re: Bumpy Roads
Every road surface and every road shouldn't be exactly the same. Texas has different roads than Cali or Idaho, and there should likely be a difference in audio let alone visuals and roughness.paytonsnewheart wrote: ↑03 Nov 2022 03:45 I really wish SCS Software would add these types of sounds you hear while driving on the highway. Re: Bumpy Roads
I mean, SCS Software could probably code the game so that the road sound can be defined in the state definition files. The hard part will be having to travel to every state in real life to get sound samples.seriousmods wrote: ↑03 Nov 2022 03:50Every road surface and every road shouldn't be exactly the same. Oh, that would be too much. It would just be nice to have some difference. It doesn't have to be perfect, just something. Right now, it's just one giant flat plane.paytonsnewheart wrote: ↑03 Nov 2022 05:23 I mean, SCS Software could probably code the game so that the road sound can be defined in the state definition files. Agreed. I would even settle for a different kind of road noise when going over bridges.

Yeah, just something. A bump for expansion joints, a different height for bridges, different sounds for asphalt and concrete, new roads and old, etc. Vibration from tar seals, and the list goes on.paytonsnewheart wrote: ↑03 Nov 2022 05:35 Agreed.
