- Instead of starting off pretty much as a owner operator. You start off working for a existing company.
- Each of these companies operate in a different part of the map, Map DLCs could expand the company selection
- DLCs may as well expand on company times, for example a company that pulls frac tanks and other equipment in Utah, company that pulls cattle trailers in Wyoming, or a company that pulls logs in Washington/Oregon
- For example, when you start a new profile you'll be given a option of several companies, obviously they'll be parodies or original designs.
- Jobs will be assigned to you via a dispatch system. You'll be able to decline a load but could face a penalty in the form of reduced pay or lower paying jobs if you do it often enough
- Each company will have their own pre-defined liveries and trucks, and each will specialize in a different cargo type. For example you could start with a company that operates the Freightliner Cascadia and International LT and pulls boxes and reefers, or a company that operates Kenworth W900s and Peterbilt 389s pulling flatbed cargo and lowboys
- Once you select a company, you'll be given a choice of pre-modifed truck that you won't be allowed to modify except for cabin accessories
- You will be able to switch companies, but there will be a minimum amount of time you must work for a company before you can switch.;
- As you do more jobs and level up. You'll be allowed to perform higher paying and longer jobs, just like the current classic gamemode
- You'll need to maintain a safety rating. Avoiding accidents, speeding fines, ect. Some companies might require a minimum rating in order to work for them
- Should your rating fall under the company's minimum, you'll first be warned. If you do not improve your rating after a set amount of time. You will be fired.
- There will be a set of basic companies that will not have a safety rating, acting as fallbacks in case you get fired. In turn though they will offer lower pay
- Some companies might have a speed limiter required, the limit depending on the company. For example one company might limit you to 65, others might limit you to 70.
- Money income will be severely reduced, no more getting paid a typical truck driver's yearly income pulling clothes from Washington to New Mexico
- Perks will cost money. If you wish to pull hazmat cargo you'll need to invest in the skills in order to be qualified
- Some companies will require certain skills for you work for them.
- Replace the eco driving skill with overweight cargo, required if you wish to work for a company that pulls heavier loads
- Similar to the older 18 WOS games, once you are high enough level and can afford to, you may transition to a owner operator.
- Even as a owner operator, you will be able to continue working for companies, providing they allow it
- Further more, you may eventually be allowed to start your own company, but you'll first will have to pay a fee.
- Once you have your own company, gameplay will transition over to the classic gamemode we have now.
Company Driver Mode
Company Driver Mode
With the implementation of the new launchpad a while ago. It got me thinking about a new more challenging "realistic" gamemode
Re: Company Driver Mode
Yes! Thanks to bring that up! Employee mode with a proper dispatch system, with companies (creating competion), an in-game revamped supply chain (making loads going to proper place), proper and realistic driver pay ,etc...
