Don't know who JazzyCat is but
I sure do like his Classic Cars mod. Brings back so many memories.
At my age, 'Happy Hour' is a nap.
Re: Don't know who JazzyCat is but
Although his truck traffic mod needs serious rework. Especially comparing on the ETS2 version, ATS version is horrible. Luckily we have @bwae so we have a great truck traffic mod.
I'm so jealous of ETS2 about modding community. I don't like the game as the hole as much as ATS but their modding community is just awesome.

Depends on what you’re looking for in a traffic mod I guess? Jazzycat’s truck traffic adds a good amount of older trucks that we don’t have in ATS, which is cool to see.
But diversity as in different versions of the same truck model is definitely limited.
I like using Jazzycat’s general, classic and truck traffic packs. As a car enthusiast, seeing over 400 cars from different eras in traffic is a lot more enjoyable than the stock ATS traffic.

Jazzycat is also well known for stealing other people mods and adding them to his own.

Wait, I didn't know this...
Re: Don't know who JazzyCat is but
@Madkine So that explains the varied quality of the AI vehicles in JazzyCat's traffic mods, which I have not used for the last two or three years.
For example, the T880, as well as the rigid box trucks, looked decent enough to me, but the Peterbilt rigid (tanker and auto carrier) and the International beverage trucks looked really off, and every time an updated mod file is released, I would make changes to exclude those ugly trucks.
Similarly, some of the cars and light trucks looked off, with the Honda CR-V and the Ford Econoline looking particularly misshapen, while others look close enough to their real life counterparts.

Yup, he grabs models from all over the place and incorporates them into his mod. As far as I know he's never asked for permission to add someone elses mod into his.

Re: Don't know who JazzyCat is but
I like the diversity as well. But most of the models looks unrealistic. It looks like they are copied from an old game and implemented directly in ATS.Tristam-94 wrote: ↑26 Jan 2022 15:28 Depends on what you’re looking for in a traffic mod I guess? Re: Don't know who JazzyCat is but
Come to think about it Madkine, that explains why some models doesn't look realistic at all or look like they were copied from a game made a decade ago.
But come to think about it, there isn't really a lot of traffic pack mods out there from other modders, that I am aware off, that adds a large variety of AI Traffic from trucks to cars to motorcycles.
Re: Don't know who JazzyCat is but
I have never tried creating mods, but I can image how much effort it would take to build dozens upon dozens of AI vehicles, of sizable variety, from scratch. I guess that is the reason there are so few AI traffic mega packs, and the ones that do exist involved borrowing, or pilfering, models from different sources.
