General Location Info: Flagstaff - Heading north, crossing the bridge and the railroad tracks and then coming up to the red light.
Bug: AI trucks go to the red light, stop like normal, and then back up before stopping again and/or turning.
Repeatable: Yes
Reproduce: It depends on an AI truck being in the exact location.

This is the strangest thing I've encountered in a long time. If it only happened once, I'd play it off on the AI. It has happened three times now in the exact same spot. It is always a AI truck that does this. I've never seen it happen elsewhere in the game.
EDIT: Fixed.

I sat through about 20 trucks at that stop light, and they all turned right as normal. Could you perhaps get a video of this happening?

I'll see what I can do.Digital X wrote: 25 Feb 2022 22:14 I sat through about 20 trucks at that stop light, and they all turned right as normal. Could you perhaps get a video of this happening?
If I come from the direction shown in the first screenshot (over the bridge), and there is a truck in front of me, it seems to happen. I just stop at the railroad tracks to keep from getting hit (again).

I see, I just parked my truck on the grass so AI would spawn and the sped up time to try and catch it happening. I didn't drive in traffic.

Re: Weird AI Behavior at specific redlight
I might have to chalk this up as one of the weird things that can just happen. I can't get it to reproduce. I parked on the exit and came across the bridge with a truck in front of me on four attempts. It didn't happen...
Unless someone else can reproduce it, let's call it settled. I apologize for any time you spent trying to get it to happen.
Thanks!

Re: Weird AI Behavior at specific redlight
Could it be that the trucks rear ended the vehicle in front of them? The AI traffic vehicles only reverse to reset themselves after they had been in an accident. I've seen a couple of occasions at multiple intersections in ATS where an AI car in front of an AI truck stops fast, the truck rear ends it, and then reverses before continuing on its way.
