Man, the 359 looks absolutely gorgeous! This may be what gets me to invest in getting the sim. I discovered the sim a few weeks ago, I've been looking around and checking it out. This is one of the trucks that I really wanted to build and run, in fact, this is the one I wanted most. Beautiful job, Outlaw, and greatly appreciated!

Re: [REL] Peterbilt 359 - RELEASE!
I may end up doing this but I'm not sure just yet. So I ended up just choosing the Eaton Ultrashift 18 speed from the truck mod and I can still drive the truck as a manual since I have my shifter and everything set up. I would just like the ability to change between different gear ratios. And I'm still confused as to why there's nothing but Allison and Ultrashifts available from the mod files as this truck never would have been built with any of these.thesimp wrote: ↑28 Jan 2023 08:58 The Real Eaton Fuller mod most likely does not have the truck name "outlaw.359" in it. So then the transmissions will not show up for this 359. You can try to update the Eaton Fuller mod by copying a sub-directory from another truck to "outlaw.359" and then update the names in the transmission *.sii files.

Because Outlaw has copied the transmissions and engines from presumable SCS' 389 just for simplicity

Makes sense. I'm not bashing him in anyway, it's a fantastic truck. If I'm brave enough I'll see about modifying the Real Transmission mod to include this truck, but for the time being it's working pretty well.Aleksi2014 wrote: ↑31 Jan 2023 13:56 Because Outlaw has copied the transmissions and engines from presumable SCS' 389 just for simplicity

To add a truck to LoaderSaint's Real Eaton Fuller, go here and go to the Add-ons/Legacy link. The CAST file makes it really easy as you only have to change the upper folder name to the truck ID and not all the individual trannies inside the folder.

I agree, the 359 is lovely – and I highly recommend ATS too.Savage212 wrote: ↑29 Jan 2023 04:34 Man, the 359 looks absolutely gorgeous! This may be what gets me to invest in getting the sim. In Steam sales, the base game's price usually goes right down to £3.99 GBP (not sure about USD).

I'm rounding up what I need. I'm upgrading my desktop computer, and adding wireless to make things easier, I'm looking at a wheel, pedals, and shifter. In fact, I work with a master electrical engineer, we're looking at making an actual twin stick shifter, and a working switch panel. I have found the correct Spicer twin stick mod, and verified that it works, I've also found a Detroit Diesel two stroke mod that has both the 8V-92TA (maybe even the twin turbo 8V-92TAB) and the 12V-71TA (Buzzin Dozen) that I have to verify works with the latest version. I can now "build" trucks like I drove when I was younger. I quit about the time the 379 came out, but I might have to build one of those, too!
