[REL] Peterbilt 359 - RELEASE!

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

If you need someone to make you period correct engine specs, I can do that. I have well over 300 vintage truck and engine brochures and have accumulated quite the digital database as well. I'm not quite there yet on the sound side but I can make proper specs.
Better known as Jake from State Farm.

This here really is a nice truck. I can't wait for you to release it. Very nice details given, I would definitely place this truck is my realism garage and put some miles on it.

That would be awesome @JVPTH3MVP ! I know these could be spec'd in a million different ways but it would be cool to know what the more popular choices were. My very limited research tells me mechanical 3408s and the big cam Cummins were up there.

Ha, @@Twist3d_Drift3r I have one too. If yours come from a 3 letter shop that start with an R, while pretty nice, this will improve a lot of the issues I think that one has - especially in terms of scale.

Getting close to a first test export, which I guess is a nice way of saying adding locators and editing def files. Will be cool to see it in game but still a veeery looooong way to go.

Chassis almost done. It looks like a poly count nightmare, but it actually isn't bad at all.

Bonus pic of a few OEM headlight options. I did them a while ago but not sure I ever shared them. Will def add some custom ones as well.

Oh and major WIP disclaimer again - lots of things missing so don't read anything into what you see.

Hype intensifies! :D
Small question - I'm not a 359 expert, but isn't the cab roof a little bit to tall? :?
The smallest details always make the biggest difference.

It does look weird in that pic. I think it's a combination of a lot of things - odd angle, no visor, missing center pillar, very low seats etc. The 359 windshield is also a lot more upright than the newer Petes.

Here's a better view;
