International 9900i×9300
Hi
The newest SCS release (international 9900i) served as a kick starter for me to make a truck that i really like. So i've edited it to look like a 9300.
[ external image ]
↑ this is what it looks like. I removed the original doors, whole cab front, and hood, and replaced them with my own models.
Because I (naively) wanted this to be a quick & easy project, i did not bother looking for dimensions & drawings. A lot of it was eyeballed and improvised.
The truck will have these 2 cabs;

The interior;

To save time, i didn't use any reference. it's improvised. I only did whatever was necessary to make it fit the new exterior.
Namely, my own door models, and a new upper dash model. Also, the dash assembly had to be moved closer by 2 inches.
The 9900i chassis attachments were not right for the 9300. I had to make my own battery box models, and tank steps.
Each cab has 2 chassis options. Either front tanks, or rear tanks:

I made my own visor models, based on what i believe to be factory options.

A lot of 9300's in pictures have a rear exhaust. I made my own exhaust model for that too.
(The 9900i exhaust variants are also present on this mod)

Re: [WIP] International 9900i x 9300
Looks great, big fan of the headlight style on these.
The dirty/used look on the below cab exhaust is a nice touch as opposed the always clean chrome looking ones you see so often.
I'm sure there's a better term for it than "below cab" I've used the term weed whacker exhaust used but unsure if that's actually what they're called or not.
One last thing, what side panel options will there be? I know the 9900i currently has longer side panels than intended which was a bug that SCS is aware of, have they been trimmed down a bit?

@Digital X the squeaky clean weed burner was really not working , though i wanted to avoid doing textures and other hard work.
i have 3 lengths. One for the day cab, one for the sleeper, and a longer on for the sleeper with the side fairings.
The first two are shown in the pictures
Do you mean the thing with the orange lights?side panel

omg overfloater you freckin legend! love this!
If this truck release dont highlight why the W900 and 389 needs to be updated by SCS I dont know what will... I LOVE the 9900i to bits!
And this makes it even better!
I love the LT and Cascadia too, dont get me wrong, I drive most trucks unlike alot on here that are stuck on one truck... but hard to beat a classic looking truck,
as someone who still rewatch Convoy and Smokey & the bandit movies to this day, I'm turning 40 in a few days... this is more what I've seen on TV and stuff ya know...
Just like I love old Caprices and Mauraders and shit like that... ya know, old police cars... square V8 powered rwd 3 or 4 speed automatic American metal... even if they are kinda terrible in most respects, they are just cool.
I'm from Sweden and one time around 1999 / 2000 I got picked up by a Taxi going home from school, it was a Chevy Caprice 70's or 80's style, it was winter, lots of snow and ice and we were going a fair distance and man was it sketchy, he almost slid off the road many times, we were going out on country roads, not city driving, amazed we did not end up in a field.
I also had a Volvo S80 TWIN Turbo V8 pick me up, it was a test car from Volvo, 300+ hp... they use Taxi's to test stuff... probably the V8 they put in the XC90 at the time and that Noble M600 has probably to this day pushing 600+ hp. (Yamaha design)
