As far as I know, some trucks (If not all of them) come with leaf springs together with the air ride (S-Way comes to mind, since I heard Stavros say in one of his vids that if a front airbag pops, the truck will still ride on the springs.).himopan wrote: ↑13 May 2022 01:40It can move up and down 100 mm each.Code: Select all

However, the axle in front of this vehicle uses old "plate" springs.
Only the rear axle (equipped with airbags) is movable.
Is it possible for the game to define this chassis?

No no, just for the sake of interest I asked which file in the config file modifies this mod as the traffic loading is excellent

Re: ETS2 1.44 Discussion
there is a "leaf" yeah, but it is only there to connect the axle with the air ride, it isnt the primary part of the suspension, the air bag is what the truck is driving on, ofc other trucks can have different method of connecting them to the frame

Re: ETS2 1.44 Discussion
Well, not exactly.
There are two common types of front air suspension on EU trucks (or 3, if we include Volvo's independent front air suspension)
First is full air suspesnion. It does not have any leaf springs - axle is mounted on connecting rods. kinda like this. It allows almost same suspesnion travel as on rear axle, ie you can both lift and lower your front.
Second kind, however includes leaf springs. It's a cheaper option (and far less common i think), and the main component is still a leaf spring. Air bag is used for "softening" the suspension, and also allows to raise the front axle. But you can't lower the axle, because the truck will stay on leaf spring.

Here, Stavros explains that the Air Ride on the S-Way can be raised and lowered and if one of the bags pops, the truck will ride on the springs (Go to 6:26). I don't actually know about other trucks tho.

Re: ETS2 1.44 Discussion
Ah well, I only had time to drive into Austria and stop in Vienna but I already love it. The complexity of the roads and the amount if things visible in the background.. It's beyond of what I imagined.
That said, there are few annoying spots in few places, like two lanes changing into one without warning, which in return makes AI go haywire. There should be some markings on the road or signs before that, not just a single arrow at the very end.
Now, regarding new camera behavior, it sure feels different, but I'm curious what setting would feel most "real"? I can't figure it out.
And force feedback still does its weird thing when it tries to "steer back" after I straighten out after a turn, I have to fight it to keep straight.

Re: ETS2 1.44 Discussion
I noticed something in the open Beta that not seems to be fixed in the final release of ETS2 1.44.
In Rotterdam i noticed that some pieces of road were missing.
And at the warehouses where i was supposed to pick up my cargo, there were no cargo markers [ ? ] visible.
Is this a glitch or is it caused by some mod?
Can anybody check out for me if they're experiencing the same thing?

I hope the Renault tuning pack is around the corner as well. We had pretty much only one teaser so far.
