Couldn't agree more with you, compared to Austria Germany is still a non-reworked country. The issue are not rebuilt cities, like Stuttgart, the real issues are all the other cities that got just some small prefab replacement and material change. I wouldn't even call this a rework when the majority of assets and prefabs are still the old ones. The last week I spent a few hours in the map editor and was slightly shocked how much from GTS and ETS2 one times is still present. If they would have taken the "rework" seriously I wouldn't have seen them anymore when opening the game or the map editor. And even their Autobahn rework is not even too realistic in some places and would need a full rebuilt in parts (just parts since some are good).
I do hope that SCS one day returns to Germany and rebuilds it from scratch, since rebuilding the so called reworked cities would require adjustments in the Autobahns and country roads around anyways.

this is the price we pay for a trial, this was SCS seeing if it is doable and accepted (last part is pretty much irrelevant because nobody would have said no to it) Austria was just, with California, SCS second test to see if building from scratch would also work

Valid point there, it has been their first test and has been well received, since Austria's rework has been received even better, I am confident that rebuilding from scratch will be their new approach.

xXCARL1992Xx and JUseeTV, Frankfurt am Main asks you "Am I nothing?!"

There are some quite good Autobahn reworks Germany.
The problem was that there were only 1 or 2mappers? for most of the rework, atleast the first parts, if I remember correctly.
I do agree on that more of the cities should have been reworked. And they will, didn't Pavel or someone else say that?
A73 thru Nürnberg is quite nice.

A8 between Karlsruhe and Stuttgart is not :) It looks nothing like the real thing, the steep ascent east of the Karlsruhe junction and the dip near Pforzheim are completely missing when at least one of them should have been there. Stuttgart lies almost 400m higher than Karlsruhe! Maybe the A8/A81 intersection is too large for that.
In return, nearby A5 north of Karlsruhe has a descent where there is none in real life...

For instance the interchange with A4/A61 is a clooverleaf in real-life, in game it a one lane interchange. Plus the open cast mine right next to the A61 is completely missing and it is one of the most impressive sights along the A61

Germany was the first rework experience. With Austria and California Rework, they adopted a new Rework method, which is to make the whole region again from scratch and the old one completely erased, not reusing a single piece of road or vegetation. So we can expect that the next countries will follow the same standard of Austria.
