Apart from Berlin I have been to most cities and I can maybe recognize half of them in the game, the cities have almost no resemblance with their real counterparts and while the roads have become better they don't give me the same vibes as the contrast to say the Netherlands. Normally you almost always have a B road going along the highway so you can divert to that, but that's really lacking. Often there is only one way to go between cities, which is incredibly frustrating when diversions happen. Worst part about it still is the lack of service stations not on the highways, something they got down pretty well with ATS. There are some really iconic places that you recognize when you drive most routes more than a few times.VirtualTruckTravels wrote: ↑25 May 2022 17:11 Germany is ok as is now, Better Focus in Getting rest map Up to date, then they can go back. Only one thing which annoy ne with germany is that they did not put any refelctive signs there road markers and chevrons are not refelctive, huge mistake.

I think, with the release of the Austria rework, the Germany has become a little complicated topic.
If I compare Germany and Austria now, Germany seems only to be somewhat "half-upgraded", because of the progress of quality improvements which the mapping teams have made, since the Germany rework.
They upped their level once again, as you can see in Austria, or with the Cali-rework in ATS.
IF one was to touch Germany for another rework again, I'd recommend to start with the cities, as they have not been reworked and, as Tampa already said, they don't really match their real life counterparts.

No it would not.
Re: ETS2 1.44 Discussion
If there's one thing I'd change - when attempting to get on the alpine road with trailer attached, the gate should be closed. Mere 1500€ fine means nothing unless you literally just started new save, and driving there with a trailer, even empty, is a potential danger. Assuming the game aims for realism.
Re: ETS2 1.44 Discussion
Why should it be closed? So nobody can drive on it? What will be the point of making that road then? That's a useless suggestion...

Re: ETS2 1.44 Discussion
Yeah and what about cars etc., they’re allowed to use these roads.
Re: ETS2 1.44 Discussion
Just like in real life, people get fined for driving irregularly there, if they didn't do at all there was no need for a fine to exist in the first place.
That said I think someone from SCS stated while ago that navigation tries to avoid at all cost suggesting those routes so they become player choice to drive there.
Not to mention bobtailing thru them is ok, and they are usually pretty visual roads.

Like the national park in ATS it should be made a hidden road.

People are too literal sometimes, geez. Did I anywhere said closed for everyone? You approach the gate with trailer, and it doesn't open. Sorry, you have to turn around (I mean there is a warning in the route advisor already, so why don't you listen to it). The same way as you won't try to go through a toll gate on a motorway with big red X above it - you're not supposed to.
No trailer, no cargo, go ahead.
