In the ATS Canadian teaser there is a new AI traffic vehicle, can anyone guess what type of vehicle it is?

That AI traffic car from what I believe, was already seen in a few previous blogposts (just to note that we have an appropriate AI Traffic Vehicle Proposal thread if you would to request new models and variations to AI traffic vehicles).

I'm also curious too but my most potential guess would possibly be the rebooted-but-Camaro-ish Chevrolet Blazer crossover, with some cues from the fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson (NX4) (featuring the slightly wider rear wheel arches and those connected taillights):

It can be also that the main design could be derived to the second-generation Chevrolet Trax:

Based on this image from the blogpost about Peoria, IL, I could say we putting this as a moot point for now until its Open Beta appearance with its filename reveal, because that attempt on applying a two-tone-style black roof was absolutely laughable with difficulties on ID-ing, hence I'm not a fan of that. I first imminently thought SCS has ported the Polestar 3-ish AI traffic EV, as seen in past ETS2 blogposts (such as Nordic Horizon), but looking back at this post, this Nordic Horizon image, and this Iceland image, I don't think it's that.

There's also what supposed to be another AI traffic car but not like the one you've spotted above. This one's slightly squarish, has a wider stance, and possibly no opening grille (an EV perhaps?). I'm thinking it's seemingly based on the much recent 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV (or maybe its Honda counterpart, the Honda Prologue? Or its recent defunct Acura version, the Acura ZDX EV?). This vehicle makes a cameo in Louisiana's gameplay video. That same user whose often contributed this thread few previous pages back pointed that out in Louisiana's discussion thread. Here's the post (I even made my reply to that post too for my own analyst). Somehow, its front fascia also gave me some modern Volvo EV vibes.

1996-2000 Dodge Caravan (NS)
Introduced in 1996, the fully-redesigned group of Chrysler minivans were extremely popular with the soccer-mom crowd, and many were built in bulk under various brands, including Chrysler and Plymouth versions. A long-wheelbase model, the Grand Caravan, is included in the proposal. And not to worry, we will introduce a separate, EUDM model proposal, which will be slightly different compared to the NA models shown below.

2004-2009 Cadillac SRX (GMT265)
Cadillac's first crossover SUV was based on the CTS and has a V-8 Northstar as standard. Sleek and cutting-edge, this SUV can look good for its cheap price.

2001-2007 Dodge Caravan / Chrysler Town & Country (RS)
The mass-produced Caravan is still popular throughout the 2000s and there is a key reason why these vans are so common even today, despite their iffy build quality. Chrysler variants, like the Town & Country shown below, were held as semi-luxury variants, and these models also found their way into Europe in both short and long-wheelbase models.

2005-2009 Buick LaCrosse
Another Buick worth adding, though it's yet another anonymously-designed model, save for its later Super model. In Canada, (where they were assembled), these models were known as the "Allure" because the main model name has unfortunate implications (don't ask).

1995-1997 Audi A6 C4 (Type 4A)
The first A6 (fourth-gen in general) was a tough sell in the U.S. and they're quite a rare sight even in Europe. These sedans were made for the mid-class executive.

1998-2004 Audi A6 C5 (Type 4B)
For its fifth-gen iteration of the mid-size A6, there were changes afoot, and now it shares its similar architecure to the Volkswagen Passat, at least to an extent. These models are also quite uncommon, and both the sedan and Avant models are from the 2002 facelift.

Kia's third-gen Sedona - the last known Kia vehicle to go under separate names for each global region - was a sensible Korean minivan with personality to match.

2002-2007 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish (Rare exotic car)
Designed by none other than Sir Ian Callum, the high-class Vanquish grand tourer comes standard with a powerful V12 engine and a massive price tag. It also had popularity in movies thanks to its appearance on one of the weakest James Bond movies to date. This is still a collector's item 20 years on, and that's why it should be super-rare in this case. The Vanquish got a second lease on life thanks to a restomod in 2020.

2016-present Porsche 718 Boxster (982)
The updated Boxster now falls under the 718 family of sports cars that encompass the Cayman - its coupe variant - and the Boxster. A flat-four replaces the original flat-six found in previous models, and these models still withstand the test of time. 2020 facelift models shown, and yes, I have included its performance RS model.

Hot off the heels of its third entry, the Tiguan III certainly shines a light on its American variant shown below. Volkswagen created a dazzling campaign ad featuring this model proving that luxury and price come standard, and it is sure to be a showstopper on any city block.

2000-2005 Ford Excursion (UW137)
If anyone questioned that a Super Duty-based SUV could exist, well, you could talk to Ford. Back when this hit the market at the turn of the 21st century, the massive Excursion was a sales flop and sold worse than the F-250 SD it was soldered to. Despite its roomy interior, barn-door/liftgate combo layout, and durable powertrains, the Excursion didn't catch on convincingly, and not even the limo variants - shocking as it is, considering their bad reputation - could salvage it. Ford deleted the Excursion after 2005, and they never made another Super Duty-based SUV ever again.

2000-2002 Audi S4 Avant B5 (Type 8D)
The wild, fun-to-drive wagon of choice for the aspiring daily driver certainly looks amazing for its time, and 20 years on, it is still relevant to this day, considering future Audis would not be offered in wagon forms in the US. Project Road Trip would also work in that regard because an underappreciated gem like this would be amazing.

2006-2010 Jeep Commander (XJ)
This Jeep, for what it has, was basically disliked by even the most fanatical Jeep folk. Its stubby design, lackluster powertrains and subpar build quality deterred anyone from wanting to buy it, and to those still sore over Jeep's decision to scrap the Cherokee's classic design in favor of the unpopular Liberty (though the aforementioned name lived on in Europe), a remade variant wasn't a consolation. The Commander was taken off the lineup after 2010, and nowadays, it's seen as a forgotten SUV with very little personality.

2009-2025 Nissan GT-R (R35)
Though we are getting a fully licensed GT-R for PRT, they won't be for traffic. What I can offer, however, are older, pre-facelift versions of the once-popular Godzilla supercar that made its presence in 2007 in its native Japan. The R35 was amazing for its time, and the handcrafted engine, myriad variants, and maximum street cred make this a popular vehicle even today. For this reason, we are shining a spotlight on the second facelift, which ran from 2011 to 2015. The Premium version, which also encompasses the Black Edition as well as the Track Edition is what we're providing for US-spec variants of the GT-R.

2014-2022 Mitsubishi Outlander (GF)
The third-gen Mitsubishi Outlander was fully redesigned and given a bit of Range Rover-esque vibe. This model underwent many changes in its eight-year span and the original model shown below should provide for now.

Toyota's sleek redesign of the popular compact SUV is a sight to behold. It promises a lot and delivers to some extent and the GR PHEV shown in North American guise should provide.

Designed more akin to a flying saucer than a SUV, the EV-powered Kia deserves its time in both games. We are getting plenty of EVs, so why not this? Future-proof beauty can happen after all...

Jeep's reinvented second-gen Compass is a radical reinvention of the compact SUV, which is a massive improvement. The previous model was an unsightly model, and the 2022 facelift of this model shown below can justify its existence in ATS.

2017-present Porsche 718 Cayman (982C)
As with the Boxster, the 718 Cayman - its coupe variant - is a modern mid-engine wonder with panache. I've made sure to offer mild and extreme variations - in this case the basic Cayman S and the updated GT4 RS. Both the 718 models need be transferred to ETS2 since they are popular there - especially in its home country of Germany.

2024-present Lexus GX 550 (J250)
The Lexus equivalent of the Land Cruiser/LC Prado we got (and it's coming to ETS2, but I also want to request that model as well) should complement nicely especially since it's quite a luxury box on wheels. While there might be some workarounds to try to distinguish the two together for an appearance in ATS, we'll see how it goes.

2025-present Nissan Murano
Cutting-edge design makes this popular crossover SUV from Nissan a hot commodity in the U.S. There is a lot to like about the fourth-gen Murano, and it should appeal in traffic just as ATS would.

2019-2022 Volvo V60
As with the sedan model, the V60 wagon certainly has its charm. It could only be special-ordered, meaning they couldn't be easily bought unless you specced one yourself at the time. Sadly, in 2021, Volvo made those models unavailable forever, so you can no longer special order these cars anymore. Production for North America ended in 2022. The T5 Cross Country model shown below is an example of "a lifted wagon with an SUV look".

2020-present BMW X5 (G05)
Coming into its fourth-generation, the X5 still keeps up with tradition despite being lost in time and translation. The 2023 facelift of both the standard model and the monster X5 M Competition should provide for variety. The latter is a candid choice for Project Road Trip because powerful German rides should be front and center. You won't regret it.

2024-present BMW X5 M Competition (F95) - Super aggressive, packed with a ton of power, and distinctive look, the X5 M Comp checks ALL of the boxes. No more boring Sunday drives or being late at work.

By the way, there is one other gripe I would address as well: We need to see new rim types for new AI cars, especially those inspired by the real-world models, because that can add a sense of individualism. Tinted windows is also a missed attention to detail to consider, since most SUVs today have them. I know it isn't important, but good attention to detail works wonders.

These 2 models from ETS2 would be good additions to ATS.

Why do we need it in ATS?: We haven't gotten a modern Volvo in a long time, and now that ETS2 has it for Nordic Horizons, it is now feasible to port this over to ATS as the current-gen XC60 is sold in North America. Despite some alterations it does look at least faithful to the real-life model.

2024-present Toyota Land Cruiser (J250) (We got it now!)

Why it matters: It's boxy. It's cute. And now that ETS2 got it then it needs to be ported to ATS since that version - which is the only Land Cruiser to be offered in North America because the global model (the 300 series) isn't sold here aside from the LX - is offered in many countries including the US.

These two vehicles do need unique rims inspired by real-world models, not the same copy-paste models we've seen a lot. Especially the LC, which needs six-lug rims.

First, I did not need hostility. Second, yes, I do understand where Azuriele is going with regarding the Polestar 3. So I've made the decision to scrap that model for now.

Maybe ask the person who is responsible for the ETS2 Ai in ATS mod at steam?!

I'm not too sure about the Polestar 3 yet. Not every US state is being hostile toward EVs atm, California is still a thriving market for it, plus a few other states like Texas, Florida, Washington, etc, also contribute a little bit. The problem for me personally is that it was just recently introduced in South Carolina last year in December, and production started one month later. I doubt there are many of those that have been seen on the road within just a year.
