Proposal of typical vehicles for AI traffic that are still missing (tbc)

I was combing through recent YouTube blogs on Illinois and found this model on the Chicago vid blog as well as the Where Next teaser.

It appears to be an apparition of the current Dodge Charger, apparently a fictitious convertible version which is totally nonexistant.

To recap, we have the following future vehicles:

-2025-present Toyota 4Runner in both stock and off-road trims
-2025-present Dodge Charger Sixpack four-door (and a cop variant as well)
-2025 Ford Explorer
-The Land Cruiser 250 (from ETS2)
-2025 MB E-Class wagon
-A sedan we know nothing about for now
-A Kia Carnival that has MPV doors for some reason
-Chevy Express boxvan


I REALLY hope most of them will appear in 1.60 or later - or soon.

Regarding that convertible... I think they've seem to make this a generic modern day muscle car rather than making an individual model. It's tragic... I miss the old days when vehicles used to be more realistic. While I am fine with some alterations, but this convertible model goes a bit too far IMO. There is no Charger convertible to speak of, as far as I am concerned, and there never will be. I would much rather see a somewhat altered 2024 Ford Mustang over this....

I would reserve ultimate judgment on the final product's car, but every part of me feels like a fictional creation a la Saints Row. Still I think it should not spawn in this form for the time being.

I can admit to fault of not knowing any research for the new Charger, as I did provide this model in the very thread, albeit the poorly-sold Daytona EV. I had known of the four-door model but I didn't post them there. Can't just let this slide...

Starting from here on out, I will now make steps to convince or direct SCS to remove this convertible version of the Charger. Please understand, we have to make limits on how vehicles should be represented and how they are actually sold. I know it is a game, but it must resemble reality, not fantasy. So please, remove this convertible model of the Dodge Charger LB if you can, because 1) it doesn't exist in real life and 2) I checked all the photos and there is no convertible model. Keep the coupe and sedan models, not the convertible. I will critique this further with reasons.

I can partially confirm that AI traffic car shown all above is inspired by/based on the fourth-generation Honda Passport (YF9):

Scratch on the Passport; the modified version of this off-road SUV appears again, this time in the Indiana DLC announcement trailer:

Guess I got misleaded by the POVs in the previous trailer; this car isn't shaped like that Passport at all. Using the greenhouse area as reference, I can conclude this car is actually inspired by/based on the sixth-generation Toyota 4Runner (N500):

The greenhouse area's height, side windows (which includes an alternative take of the signature C-pillar window the 4Runner has known for), and the rear side panel match to the aforementioned said generation 4Runner above, although I possibly see SCS mixing some styling cues from the previous fifth-generation 4Runner (N280), and somewhat to lesser extent, the first-generation Toyota Fortuner (AN50/60) (the Fortuner was never sold in the U.S. and Canada but often regarded this as the 4Runner's Southeast Asian cousin, thanks to YouTuber Tyler Hoover from Hoovie's Garage years ago). Its more rugged styling suggest SCS modeled after the 4Runner's off-road/adventure-oriented trims, such as the TRD Pro (shown above), TRD Off-Road and TRD Off-Road Premium, and Trailhunter.

With this car seemingly fits the description of a 4Runner, that would mean its files may likely carry 'Asuma' in their names. I may thought to agree with that, depending on the car's proper appearance in the next update (let me know from any of you if this car already appeared in the files of 1.60 Open Beta).

@RushCars24ID Yeah... not really. This model is based on its LB Charger, which as far as I am concerned only has the sedan and coupe body available. If they got rid of the wrecker before then they can delete this convertible model, and the 2 old vehicles that aren't sold in the USA. Yes, the Ford S-Max and the S204 Wagon (which would have to be reworked as a sedan in this case). It was possible to disable certain vehicles like they did in ETS2. Why can't they? I despise both of these models...

There are more realistic options for convertibles, and I provided plenty in previous pages. Which also include roadsters, exotic models, and the like. Which would be good for variety.

2026-present Audi Q3
New for 2026 is the third-gen Audi Q3, a stylish crossover made to impress. This is part of the long-term plan to include more modern-day German rides.

2007-2012 Hyundai Santa Fe (CM)
Comfortable and fairly stylish, the second-gen Santa Fe was produced in large numbers and was also sold worldwide.

2021-2026 Kia Seltos (SP2)
A mini-SUV first sold in 2019 in its domestic country, the first-gen, athletic Kia Seltos is worth adding to ATS and it still is popular.

2020-present Lincoln Aviator (U611)
The revived luxurious take of the Ford Explorer certainly has its charms after being left out for years. This 2025 facelift shown below ought to provide that itch for a luxury version.

2021-present Chevrolet Tahoe
Yes, we do have a Caliber SUV in this game based on the long-wheelbase Suburban. But it would be great if they could expand this existing model with more variations of this SUV. Like the short wheelbase Tahoe model, which can be done. The Tahoe so far is the only one that has a cop version as the Suburban doesn't have anything like it. Its GMC Yukon version, in both standard and XL variations, could slot in as a separate entry too.

2021-present Cadillac Escalade
As with the Tahoe, the luxurious, formerly gangster-cred Escalade should get a variant for ATS traffic - in not just the short and long-wheelbase models but its beefier Escalade-V model, which is easily distinguishable with its twin-cannon tailpipes. I have listed all of them.

This new entrant of the Lexus EV propelled model should be an excellent luxurious model that would complement with the existing Tesla cars that are present. Also sold in Europe.

2022-present Nissan Pathfinder
The current-gen Pathfinder certainly has its appeal as a modest SUV with a rugged personality. 2026 facelift shown below.

2023-present BMW X2 (U10)
Sleek and very much stylish, the current X2 is more than viable to be used as a traffic vehicle for both ATS and ETS2. This M35i model is what is usually offered in NA.

2017-present Land Rover Discovery (L462)
This Discovery model would be a good addition to the library, and it shows with its adventurous design and dependability. Shown here is the 2020 facelift.

2022-present GMC Hummer EV
When the Hummer brand would be revived as an EV in 2020, it seemed to be more than just a pipe dream. That is when GMC had to actually build these things the following year amid the economic problems and COVID. The GMC Hummer EV - yes, that is its name - solidifies why we need this as a traffic vehicle (albeit rare). It's gotten quite a video game presence as well: The Modern Warfare II remake has this model and Forza Horizon 5 as well as its recent sixth entry have this. Now we would want this for Road Trip.

It is worth mentioning that there will have to be deviations for a traffic model, but the tri-windshield wiper layout, the interior, detachable roof parts and the eight-lug rims should be modeled.

2024-present GMC Hummer EV SUV
Like its pickup model, the SUV variant will have some deviations to get this out as a traffic car, and just like before it requires a unique rim model with eight lugs.

2023-present Ineos Grenadier
Ineos' first product has fast become one of the most unique and versatile SUVs on the market today. A British creation, built in France and sold worldwide, the Grenadier lends its classic Land Rover Defender look with modern tech and durability. A pickup version is also available, though so far I have not seen its Quartermaster variant. For now, this SUV model will have to do.

2025-present Volvo EX90
Just because this model lacks a gas or hybrid engine doesn't mean this EV incarnation of the XC90 shouldn't be disliked. So far, this tech-laden power appliance has some praise by its fans in both Europe and North America (though the latter doesn't get much of it). I would say bring this model to both ATS and ETS2.

I'd like them to go through all of their existing ai vehicles and see which of their real world counterparts were available in both the US and Europe and put them in both ETS2 and ATS. After that, some BMW lookalikes (3 Series and X5 maybe?) would be nice.

^We have. At least the OP and I did manage to get some ETS2 cars over there, like the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 and the Tesla Model Y. Some ATS rides have made their way to ETS2, if they can code them that is.

So far we have these cars in ETS2 just waiting to be converted to ATS:

- 2021-present Volvo XC60
- 2022-present BMW X1 U11 (they added it because the Dutch police added them in their fleet)
- 2022-present Honda Civic Hatchback (if they can do away with the passengers and have correct license plate mounting)
- Lamborghini Huracan (for rarity)
- Jeep Renegade (which has been requested but so far it has not been considered)
- Fiat Ducato, which has a NA variant called the Ram ProMaster (sold here since 2014)
- Mercedes-Benz E-Class W211 and the W124; both vehicles were sold in North America and the latter is still one of the most reliable old-school Mercs you can buy

Unfortunately none of them have made the jump to ATS for some reason, and I don't know why.

In regards to the Polestar 3, well, bad news: After this year, Polestar will no longer sell their vehicles stateside because of some obnoxious policy we have about car tech and the fact that Polestar is owned by China. So that model won't make it to ATS and neither will the gorgeous liftback 5 model.

The Jeep was quite popular here in the States, I'm surprised that it isn't in both games. The Mini is still popular, though not as much as a few years ago.
