Soo this game will always look outdated compared to other games because of this decision
If i look at updated Austria, i would not say it looks outdated, the only problem its getting now to the limits of the engine.

If you complain about poor looking areas like e.g. Poland, Slovakia, Tech Republic, Hungary, Switzerland, Benelux, Great Britain its simply the problem they are simply not redone, just a problem of capacity. But you can use some mapmods they have done amazing things.

What are your titles you are matching against? What are your expectations?
For e.g. a chess game it is from no importance how the UI looks, its all about the chess engine, you can have the best looking UI, if the chess engine sucks the whole game sucks.

For a Sim like ETS2 or ATS you don't need highest frame rates it is not a ego-shooter, you need constant framerates (this means the load of your GPU is as high it needs to maintain the framerate at the moment), To maintain constant framerates it makes sense to limit your framerate e.g. in the nvidia driver to a fixed value you can easily achieve in cities (i took 99 FPS as i have a 100 FPS Panel, but i wouldn't go higher even with a 240 FPS Panel, as i enjoy that may GPU keeps silent and cool at this level and usually only took only 40% of its TDP).

The immediate changes I'm interested in are:
- Convoy mode max players per session increased from 8 to 16 or 20;
- New truck models from Iveco, Man and Volvo;
- first steps in making the game economy work.

I feel like the 1.45 update will be big, why do you wonder? Because this is the last update that will be released (in open beta or final version) before the 10th anniversary of ETS2

About 1.45 being a big update, while playing yesterday evening in Austria I thought about two things.
First, what if the adjustable suspension height was implemented to get ready for rigids?
Then, performance in Austria is currently terrible, probably because the level of detail is too much for the current engine, so I think changes to the game engine might be soon to come (since if I were SCS I would like my work to be enjoyed properly)
Maybe all of this in 1.45? I mean, graphics updates alone would be enough

physics.scs --> "bristle_stiffness_longitudinal_factor: 5.0" for throttle/brake responsiveness
I overexplain always and only for fear of being unclear

I hope that next week we will get the first blog about the new feature that comes with 1.45, I wish the scs in this update would rework the car trains at Calais, and add DX12

In the spirit of the ATS blog, hopefully it's about new RttBS roads.

I really would like to see some Pyrenees roads to fill the gap. Also better AA like TXAA would be great.

Happy that it's coming, but I'm also curious about the type of cargo we're gonna haul to and from this place. Hopefully not just Used packaging or Empty pallets ...
