Editor error

While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

It looks like you once used a map mod and then removed it from your mod folder and without this additional mod the problem comes up.

This can't be I have played and mapped over 9,300 hours of ETS2 and have never seen an error like this.

it is 100% due to a missing mod
such as a map mod or a prefab pack from FLD.

I have seen and experienced this also. Bad thing is you dont have other option than UID delete, and if you have 10-20 of them..... Same problem, placed on map a day before, no problem, all things fine, next day....gone.
Even yesterday loading a road connection i had even a weider experience, parts of a road were invalid (grey skul) and parts just fine. The problem is, both were the same road type with identical settings.

If the problem comes from SCS, they should fix it or they should give us a way to remove the stuff ourselves.

because they can't be removing things but not telling us in the community that things have been removed.

I think it's a very bad communication between us users and game developers.

Is not about removing something, same road type works well in other locations or, many times, i've placed the same road again and it worked. My logic tells me there is something wrong in the save process in this case, or with translations of map sectors from 1.43 to 1.44 in my RC's case.
Another problem related to this is the definitive way of upgrading a map, if you open the map in latest version you cannot go back in older versions. Explanation:
-if i've discovered in 1.44 that a SCS model was removed, lets say a rock model, and i have that model in many places on my map, i have to do extensive manual work to delete those models, even i dont want to, leaving empty spaces in the map.
If i want to go back in 1.43, to find and mass-replace that rock with another one similar, i can't, the editor wont load the map based on the "inncorect core map sector" error. So, if you go 1.44, going back in 1.43 its a NO-NO. This is why i make a zip back-up before upgrading the game. But still annoying.

Unrelated to this, sience 1.44 beta and final 1.44, my ETS exe hangs for minutes in task manager. I dont have any problems with other apps. Just this.

I tried to delete, but I can't ... I used directly delete push on grey node, but nothing happens, after I tried to searching by UID and select, but I can't delete too ... Do you know how I can delete ?

I'm using normal roads, form Iberia DLC ... I will try with other kind of roads ...

If SCS removes something, I just copy it into my map mod. Where do I get it from? From my backup of the extracted base, of the previous version.

Keeping old versions of the extracted base is my standard procedure, not only for map modding, but also for checking changes, in the base, of any kind. I keep them in zipped, compressed archives. Spares me the hassle of a temporary downgrade to an older game version, just for base extractions.

But if you don't have such copy, you can always get one by downgrading, extracting, upgrading. Be sure to keep the extractions in different locations.

or what is even easier SCS just doesn't remove the stuff and leaves it as it is then we don't have so much work to look for all the nonsense.
