@Kultag thanks, that worked for me. Whilst in the mod manager click on the Steam workshop. Then unsubscribe and immediately re-subscribe to each mod that is missing and they re-appear and you can load the game as normal. Will do as a temporary fix, hopefully steam sort it quickly.

I might just move some mods to the user folder. The ones that were updated a long time ago. They are unlikely to be updated again.

Loss of mod dependencies

Windows 10
Intel i7 8700
GTX 1070
32g ram
DX11

Steam install/Workshop installed mods
version 1.44

My mod list is really not important for this because what's going is totally random on which mods it decides to drop. I found that unsubscribing and re-subscribing fixed the issue temporarily but then i had CTD after 10 to 15 minutes of playing.
The issue is the mod manager on ATS is saying i have mods that are incompatible download thru the workshop on steam. They are missing the thumbnail too. I verified the mods have been updated so i unsubscribed and re subbed in game and magically everything was fine..... for a short while. I had a CTD after 10 to 15 minutes. After a reload had an entire new list of mods saying incompatible along with some of the original(one or two). Attempting to verify the game cache but this is a bizarre issue that i have not experienced before the recent game update and i have been playing this game off and on for years now. So i decided to report this issue here incase anyone else has had this happen or maybe a dev knows what is going on.

No luck with Steam support. They keep telling me to get in touch with the mod creators themselves or start a discussion on the Steam Community, even though I actually sent them the link to the discussion with over 100 posts from ATS.

There's noway this is a mod problem. I heard multiple games are affected. Some ATS mods that are affected are undoubtedly game version independent. Also, if you change your assortment of subscribed mods, other mods go bugged out. All this indicates that Valve has borked something.

they were. but the error has been fixed. Make sure you have the latest version of steam and go through your WS mods ON steam, not the game

Hey ALL, FYI, SCS released a small update AFTER 1.44 was released so you might need to update your game as well as steam. As of just a few minutes ago, ALL the steam workshop mods I am subscribed to show up in both ATS and ETS 2.

As of this comment, this is not fixed. Confirmed latest versions of Steam as well as ATS, issue still persists every time you start the game.

Both games are up to date as is steam yet I can't see quite a few mods in the ingame mod list and a couple active mods are showing the red exclamation circle saying they are incompatible with the current version even though they have the versions file with the line: compatible with "1.44.*"
