Let me preface by saying I spend a lot of time trying to find the answer elsewhere before I resort to yet another dumb question on here, especially since the answer to this should be fairly simple ... and yet here we are again -
When animating dashboard icons, how exactly do I set the two on/off states on things like indicators, high beams etc?
The documentation tells me the texture needs to be dif.lum with .decal and .over flavors and I assume the actual light up on-state is somehow controlled by the alpha channel? So my question is, what do I put in the two keyframes?
The same object, only with different UV maps? Or do I simply use the lamp switcher tool like I would with exterior lights? As usual I look at SCS anim models to try to understand the setup but it's not helping much.
Thanks once again,

Re: Animating dashboard icons
keyframe 0 is off, so you hide it behind the dashboard mesh so you cant see it, keyframe 1 is one, so you move it forward just so much it hovers over your dashboard mesh so it looks like it is "ON"
sadly, there is a bug in the newest BT so importing animations doesnt work but if you have the old version (2.2.1 i think) import a model from SCS with animations and take a look at it
