Trieste will be a Base Map addition, not Italia. It's not very close to Italia roads. I would be surprised if it gets locked to West Balkans.

Yeah, it will be a part of the Italian connection to the West Balkans. I think we might see the WB blog this or next week. We are still in one blog per month phase, I hope that will change soon.

Trieste is very much in the Italy part of the base map. I find it very unlikely that they will put it as part of Italia DLC. And also as part of the West Balkans DLC I find it even more impossible to happen.

Exactly, it will be on the base map of Italia, I think there is a slight chance of seeing Trieste in the 1.47 update.

Map of italia dlc would look really weird if Trieste was part of it, with Venice being in the base map.

Trieste is one thing, but I think a great option for promoting the West Balkans DLC would be to introduce some good quality hidden areas of Slovenia and maybe even Croatia in parallel.

The players came to see a new city in Italy and out of curiosity they looked by camera 0 what is next. In addition, promotional billboards similar to those in Texas would be welcome. I think SCS can really benefit from things like this.

I don't have Iberia and yet there's a nice chunk of highway beyond the border with France, looking pretty. Same with Texas, and other dlcs in ATS I don't own. So sneakpeeks into WB could work the same way.

It's unlikely that will appear in the base game, but it could likely be Italia DLC road connections. So Trieste is added in Italia DLC.
